Theo Walcott just needs one goal to reach 100 in his career (5 goals for Southampton, 94 for Arsenal). He needs 6 to reach 100 goals for Arsenal.

Olivier Giroud needs 13 goals to reach 100 for Arsenal.

They'll become the 18th and 19th players to reach that landmark for Arsenal if they do so.

Last person to do so was Van Persie. Hope Walcott and Giroud both surpass his 132 goals at the club. He was 28 when he did so, Walcott is 27 and Giroud is 30. I'd imagine Giroud could do it in a couple of good seasons. Same goes to Walcott but fitness is the issue there.

Even though he has had his usual spells of bad games, and bad decision making, I am happy with Ox's numbers thus far this season.

Looks like he will never get rid of his brainfart moments but at least what's different this season is that he is contributing to the goal's tally.

So here's something very interesting:

The claim of doom so early is probably unfair, given the club’s good run to this point, but it’s given Betway Insider tipster, and Arsenal fan, Alan Alger a chance to wheel out a very interesting statistic.

Alan, who scored the last ever goal at Highbury in a charity match, is obviously keen for his beloved Arsenal to win the Premier League but has been convinced it’s not going to happen.

Speaking on this week’s Betway Insider Podcast, Alan explained: “There’s one key element to Arsenal’s performances over the last five years and that’s that whenever they’ve been bigger than 4/6 for a Premier League match, and it’s now 54 occasions, they’ve only actually won nine of those games.

“This season in all competitions when they’ve been bigger than 4/6 to win a game, they’ve only actually won one of nine.

“Now that suggests that when the going gets tough and there’s tougher games, they’re just not winning enough of those.

“It’s very clear to say they won’t win the title… from those facts and figures.”

Odds are relative of course. They're influenced by form and each individual bookie. Nonetheless, it's a very interesting trend that for games in which Arsenal aren't the overwhelming favourite, they rarely win.

When I think of those types of games, I think away games at Stoke, Southampton, Everton, Spurs, Liverpool, United, City and Chelsea... and our recent records at those grounds is poor.

Meanwhile, our record against the bottom half of the table recently has been exceptional. The odd upset occurs but generally we beat those teams easily.

In other words, we're flat track bullies.
