so that means we have been waiting 25 years and 1 week. So maybe we have a right to ask the club to move things along a bit.Hapless_Hans wrote:It's pretty funny, in a sad way, that Liverpool haven't won the league in 25 years, haven't been a top 4 team for the better part of a decade, but their fans never seem able to wait even one week.

you tried to preach similarly even when Rodgers was in charge
no one is asking for Klopp to get sacked. I think most of the fans are just worried that defensively we are still not that good.
I think as soon as Can or Lucas and Matip will be back, we should look better. Our fullbacks are forced to play such passes (the one against Burnley from Clyne resulting into the first goal) because our midfield is shit. I think Klopp is still trying to find out the balanced midfield, attacking way and defensive both.
The 5 goals have been conceded are not the fault of the defensive system or whatever. It's individual mistakes. I fully blame it on the personnel. You cannot be mad at Klopp or frusrated that our defense hasn't been fixed
First Henderson. He's not a DM. He has no effing clue what he's doing in that role. Literally running around like a headless chicken in that space. It's embarrassing watching him act like he has any tactical discipline or understanding. Can and Lucas have been injured and not match fit. Hopefully they will be back soon and starting (in Can's case) so we never see Hendo again in that role.
Second Klavan and Lovren have just met each other. Not only are they our 3rd and 4th choice defenders but they are playing for the first time together. Because of Matip and Sakho's injuries and other issues we've been relegated to Lovren-Klavan start the season. Again even then the 2 of them have not done too bad with the limited protection they are getting from Hendo and they fullbacks.
Clyne's form has been awful these 2 games. Hopefully he return to the player he was last season because that's the Clyne that we need. And then there's Moreno whom I won't talk about. And Milner has played what 3 games at LB in his whole life.
The goals conceded were:
1) Lallana's fault for dribbling like an idiot in his own 3rd and losing the ball. Moreno slightly at fault for bombing forward like a headless chicken with no care in the world to see if we actually even have the ball. Good finish can't blame Mignolet, it was a good finish.
https://my.mixtape.moe/nyopce.mp4
2) Clyne at fault for not pushing Ox to the byline instead of letting cut inside like he was always going to do. Lallana slightly at fault for coming to help so late and then arriving at the most inopportune time. The second he arrived to help Clyne switched off and delegated responsibility to Lallana and they were both left like idiots in the wake. And finally Hendo's fault for being an absolute idiot and just doing nothing but standing on his heels as Ox went past him with that embarrassing thing he calls a tackle. It was a deflection, hard to blame Mig but a keeper with better reflexes could have saved it.
https://my.mixtape.moe/oemrix.mp4
3) Clyne at fault for the worst throw in in history. Giving it straight to the Arsenal play. Then fouling him like an idiot. Other than that can't blame anyone for the freekick goal. It was a great delivery.
https://my.mixtape.moe/paxlyi.mp4
4) Clyne fully at fault. Giving the ball away with an awful pass. Not only was his pass miss-hit but he should never have played that option. Lallana's was under pressure from 2 players anyways. Great shot from Vokes. Can't really blame the CBs or Mignolet.
https://my.mixtape.moe/sperrj.mp4
5) Sturridge at fault for losing the ball embarassingly cheaply. Coutinho at fault for completely stopping running and letting Defour go. Klavan at fault for making that challenge at the center circle and not winning the ball. Henderson again at fault for just running embarrassingly past Gray with that thing he calls a challenge. Lovren at fault for turning his back like a pussy instead of going for the block like a warrior. Mignolet at fault for his awful positioning. Should have been further back in his line.
https://my.mixtape.moe/noxrnx.mp4
A lot of it can be fixed with personnel changes and having our starting defense on paper actually playing.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 2
So when everyone is fit we have a descent defence. But if one of them gets injured we will be left with a train wreck as a defence. We better hope we don't get injurys. Tbh klopp has no excuse for starting the season with Milner and Moreno as LB. it's not like klopp ran out of money because we are in profit. When you play a MF 3 of Henderson Gini and lallana and then tell your fullbacks to bomb forward who does that leave to help out the badly exposed centre backs. It seems like that problem was over looked. Klopp believes in his system so much he seems to think he can drop any player into it and it will always work out. With no proper DM in the team to give cover don't you think maybe it is not wise to fill the front 6 up with out and out attacking players.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 2
No! The problem was not overlooked. We were in the market for a LB this whole summer. Ben Chillwell was pinpointed as our main target. Both Leicester and Liverpool were reluctant to meet in the middle. But like Klopp said, and I agree with him 100%, unless we find the right player we will not spend money on a stop gap, just to be back in the same position next season. What is the point of signing another Aly Cissokho or Moreno or Manquillo just for us to be in this position next season. Klopp's principle is to find solutions in house unless the perfect player is out there and available.

Tbf there's a difference between your usual social media outcry where somebody says something like 'Gays shouldn't be allowed to marry' and saying that they should be burned
Pretty sure people wind up in court for saying that stuff to that extent now a 5 game ban then going back to playing Prem Football is hardly bad.

I actually had a bizarre dream last night that Liverpool played Grimsby and got smashed 3-0 and then I came onto GL and baited a bunch of you lads. Genuinely had no idea you were playing some scrubs tonight. I think it's a sign tbh.
Burton to win it IMO.
