Bale is justified. Took Wales and RM to where they got at. Been saying this for a while but Bale is elite.

Messi's exclusion is uncalled for, imo, but I'm guessing it stems from his legal issues and his attitude after the Copa final.

Ramsey and Robson-Kanu took Wales to the semis and once Ramsay was suspended they lost.
Bale played well in ONE game out of six.
In at least a couple of other games he was outright TERRIBLE.
I remember one game where he was in fact Wales' WORST player and that's not an exaaggeration.

Its a shame Suarez didnt make the top 3. He deserves it more than the other 3.
Been the best player in the world for 3 seasons and yet doesnt make any list.
Doesnt surprise me as he has a lot of things going against him. FIFA hates him, the English media hates him(which controls public perception).
Its a shame that an all time great like him wont win an individual award he rightfully deserves.

I'm sure Suarez himself is not losing any sleep over it, things like not being able to play the Copa America probably took a far bigger toll on him than not being in the top 3 for an individual award.

@valkyrja so bale played well in a 1- 0 win against city and is now automatically deserving of a top 3 spot in europe? btw that was an own goal. So bale had exactly 0 goals in the CL and 18 goals in all competitions, ffs even Neymeh had about 26 goals in the league alone

CR and Griezmann were shoe ins... then it came down to Messi, Bale and Suarez for the 3rd. I would have picked Suarez. But whatever.

saying suarez flopped is a stretch....if that's the case, everybody whose team did not win the ucl flopped at the crucial stage. griezmann may have lost two finals, but anyone who followed the season and watched the games knows he belongs on that list. i felt bale needed to play more games, guy's always getting injured, can't be out of action haphazardly and be in the running for these things imo. i'd have taken bale out of my top 3
