Jumping to the web forums usually spoils the fun for me - it puts all these ideas in your head and then you try to looks for confirmation bias in the following episodes.
Take the dual timeline theory. I read about it, and this week I kept trying to draw parallels towards it. And this week, the episode played right into that theory.
The irony will be when the creators of the show throw in a massive twist in the next episode which will destroy the theory
And I don't put it past them, these are some of the smartest storytellers of our generation
I do that too, but the only difference being I do that after getting some material to work with lol. Because everything right now is mere speculation and nerd theories on forums, reading a couple of different perspectives will at least in my case help fuel my way of thinking for the good.

Lol whoTF knows. I didnt sweat myself over it as the sheer magnitude of different possibilities in a case like that blew my head off.
Instead I am just waiting to be shocked and surprised.
- Anyway my humble guess is that:
- either Bernard or Arnold or may be even both is surely an android. Ford created Bernard probably to recreate the same scenario/sequence of events that went down with Arnold in the past? It is presented so far that even for Ford, Arnold is a mystery. So this might be his trick to finally get a grip on what went wrong with his former partner?

Re: Westworld || HBO
Agreed.
This was the episode many who've been sticking with this show were waiting for, stops those who were about to quit it from doing so and probably even brings back some who may have already called it quits.
The pace quickened quite a bit. Not always a good thing, but in this show's case, it's going to serve it well in the later episodes.
Loved that ending.

Only finished episode 4 just now.
Soooo many questions with very few answers.
Loved the episode and I really like the show but I feel lost most of the time. I'm very into knowing exactly how everything happens and why these things are happening but we're not getting many of those answers so a little frustrated with that.

Finished episode 5.
Good episode again.
I'm finally buying into William=MIB and that we are witnessing 2 different timelines. Just makes too much sense to not be true.
Anyways, still more questions arose with this episode and not enough answers which I'm sure we're going to get in the next 5 eps.

Its.... fan made. I took it as legit when I first read it, my bad. Now upon browsing a couple of reddit forums to find out the source lol, realized those sneaky bastards had made it up in the first place to support the obvious conclusion it will ensue.
However Jonathan Nolan apparently has a history with using anagrams I have learned, so perhaps we can just leave that door open for the time being. It could be true. Let's wait and see whether they will mention his last name on the show.

Re: Westworld || HBO
The thing with blockbuster shows it that they need to build a solid foundation at the beginning, on which the later episodes and seasons will be built. So I am completely ok with a slow paced, but content packed, first season.
It just gives the show makers that much more to work with in the future.
That said, I am happy to see that things are picking up. These shows always need 3-4 episodes to be showstoppers (not literally) in each season - think Blackwater, or Red Wedding, ... I think we have the fundamentals in place now to see some stellar episodes in the rest of the season. Heck, Ford meeting Dolores and then MIB was pretty damn badass in itself.
Also, this episode finally catching on with GoT in sex and violence. That orgy scene

It doesn't really make sense at all imo. Wyatt is new creation, as Ford said. Logan mentioned Wyatt to William. Wyatt was made to create different storylines for Teddy and Dolores.
William kill robots who has blood spatter when they're shot, which is something too new. We even saw the lack of blood in a flashback.
I think it's once again something over interpreted.

Re: Westworld || HBO
No Wyatt is never mentioned in the William/Logan arc, you are wrong there.
The blood thing is definitely one flaw. However the old robots flashback that we saw was about 34+ years ago before the park opened. We know this because Arnold died 34 years ago but he was alive when the park opened.
William(MIB) and Logan come into the park around 30 years ago when the park has been already been opened and around 4 years since Arnold died.
So in those 4 years or whatever I can see the AI's having been improved and maybe blood had been added. So these AI's are different from the very originals AI's that look and act like robots (a la Old Bill, Dr Fords drinking buddy).

Re: Westworld || HBO
Are you sure he didn't mention him in episode 4? I must be remembering wrong.
Also Dolores talking to Ford when he's the same age during the William storyline doesn't really add up either. Seemed like he she flashed to old Ford talking to her.
This reminds so much of the True Detetive theory stuff. It will only end up disappointing people. I don't even think it's supposed to be that much of a mystery.
The biggest mystery to me is actually how the actual park works.

Also if the MiB theory is true, then I feel we follow the interesting character development which is sad. If it was explicit we could see his dive into madness, instead it's just for a cheap twist without any real indication.
Hope it's not true

Dolores is currently on 2 journey's. One in the past timeline with William/Logan. One in the present timeline by herself. The editing is done perfectly to fool us between the jumps in the timeline.
Dolores talking to Dr.Ford was her being pulled from the present timeline where she is alone. And keep in mind this is done through some virtual reality (they tell her it's during her dream). Not actually physically pulling her out of the park to have these conversations like they do when they were checking for behavior on other hosts (those ones are actually pulled physically).

The MiB theory could be false, obviously it's not set on stone. But the 2 timeline theory is 100% correct imo. Maybe we're yet to meet young Ed Harris in the previous timeline. but I really doubt it, William makes too much sense especially us already seeing him starting to get corrupted slowly with each decision he's making.

Meh. It's very tricky to follow anyways. Def a show to re-watch after the season. Nothing seems set in stone. Not even the Logan and William stuff imo. The timelines are still wack.
I just always assumed they were the people checking up on the park in "the current" timeline

That William is the Man in Black. I just don't think it adds up at all and if it does that's it's intentional deception and not true to the storytelling or characters.

bahhhhh gawwwwwwd. This is getting soooooo good now.
For the first time I've been able to attach emotion to the characters in this show. Could relate to Maeve's fascination to learn more, and even felt sentimental with her when she walked up through the levels and see what these people get up to. Also felt scared for Elsie.
