Re: SF: France Vs Germany
Boateng long passes were things of beauty tbh. He's really progressed.

First half especially was outstanding, one of the best performances I've seen from Germany. Özil played a good tournament, as did Kroos. With a Müller on form we'd have won this.

With Varane, Benzema and Lass, France wouldn't have lost this no matter who Germany fielded either... what ifs serve no purpose. Both teams had key players missing for various reasons.

Tbh I don't think Benzema would have performed better than Giroud. Giroud has been outstanding.

Congrats to sportz and French NT fans. France won the game fair and square. Germany has got to blame itself for everything. I'm sad for Kroos and Özil who played out of their skin yet the other players let them down.

Not a chance. Fully fit Germany wipes the floor with any team France would possibly lineup.

Pep was getting grilled for subbing off or leaving out the German Pedro. Plays like a donkey throughout the entire tournament yet he starts every game and plays for full 90 minutes. Man has an unbelievable lobby behind him just because he's your showcase Bavarian and picturebook son-in-law.

I always underestimate the toll 120 minutes has on teams, even with an extra day of rest.

besides I don't get why Germans 'd not have had to celebrate a historic win against Italy.
Anyway Kinnnich was always the worst player in matches seen from me . am I unlucky to have watched always the mistaken matches ( two matches as if I was a Bayern fan so further involved in it ) or simply Kimmich isn't still good for this level ? your opinion about him ?

Re: SF: France Vs Germany
Congrats to Sports and the French . Great spirit, tactics and overall performance. You definitely used that home advantage. Congrats on the winning the Cup against Farcetugal. Fully deserved.
Guys, Kimmich is played out of frakking position. He's not a damned fullback, it's just Germany have no functional RB, so his versatility is used for the betterment of the team, if not his individual skills. He's naturally a defensive minded CM, but Guardiola played him even as a frakking CB with decent enough performances.
He is still a very raw product and we're to see where he will definitely cement as his place, which should be CM but he is not Kroos level and he is not the German captain, so he's not ready as of yet to play there. Give him time, he's 21 FFS.
Future wise, should play alongside Sanches in a deeper, more creative role.

Wrong angle shot, the other angle showed, it bounced off of Pogba's head onto Piggy's hand! Right call, stupid of Piggy to have his hand up in air.

Re: SF: France Vs Germany
Germany needed Gomez badly in this game. I still rate Mueller highly, but goodness me he was atrocious in this match. It just shows that he's clearly a hybrid player. Neither a full 9 nor a full 10. Really struggled with trying to be a 9. hold up the ball and make space for himself, but also didn't really link up well with other attackers, as a 10 tends to do well. Schweinsteiger was always going to be an odd choice in midfield, but I thought competed rather well for the most part, aside from the handball...which I'm not sure was really a handball. Boateng was fantastic up to his injury so really unfortunate. Germany's real weakness was indeed their full-backs. Kimmich may have hit the post, but he still looked super frail defensively as did Hector. Neuer was Neuer so nuff said about that.
Credit to France though. Umtiti was brilliant throughout. Lloris led from the back and was super resolute. Pogba had some big moments, but Kante was probably the midfielder who stood out most for me. And then there's Griezemann....just wow. He was relentless. Top performance from him. Best player in the tournament and it's not even close.
I owe my co-worker a croissant today so that's my penance for doubting France. I back them fully now against Portugal. This was their best performance in years. Portugal have one player playing at an elite level. Based on evidence o this game, France have easily 3 or 4. That just might make the difference.

can't really argue with that penalty call
still, feels weird after Germany bossed the game
Best game of the Euros so far without a doubt, 45 minutes of action, pressure and high quality football.
Fantastic performances by most of our players.
Only Müller still playing like he's too bad for Sunday League.
Boateng and Höwedes with one brainfart each, Schweini with a
GOAT performance until that stupid handball
Depressing if you think this is merely a semi and the other game was that shitfest yesterday.
Griezmann is a *bleep* star.
Congratulations to France for winning the Euros.
Agree with this.
Also France deserve better than have their deserved victory sullied by Rizzolis shit refereeing. That handball penalty was one of the very few things he did right. Was infuriating to watch.
Not worried at all about the German NT, great performance. France also can't be called undeserved winners, dug their heels in, rode a bit of luck, and had the quality, and class, to bring it home.
Feels weird to see a Germany loss I can't blame on Löw. Never thought I'd see the day.
