He's played like 5 games... and in a couple of them he's sucked. He was atrocious vs Hercules. He has potential because he has great physique, but his passing is very poor and does weird stuff now and then.

Off course, he is better than Mascherano. Not better than Bartra though.

Umtiti is much better than Bartra, that we finally sold. free is mad cause Catalan scrub was sold, but everyone with a brain will pick Umtiti over Bartra.

P.S Bartra not fouling Bale in CdR final is the dumbest move by the defender I've ever seen. When Coentrao passed to Bale I shouted foul him, foul him, and this idiot let him run and score the goal.

He got injured, besides, there was Mascherano covering who let Bale shot and it's not like super fast footballers like Bale or Messi never get away from a defender trying to foul them. Even Roberto got away from Illarramendi who was hugging him this past weekend. It's a very small mistake.

Right, but if Umtiti was on the field he might of been the one guarding Ramos instead of short ass Sergi vs Tall and athletic Ramos. Umtiti isn't a giant but he deff gots ups and strength on Sergi.

Was he specifically given the instructions to mark Ramos? One of the ELITE headerer of the ball?

It should be Pique's responsibility to organise it if LE can't even give out orders to his players.

Watching it closely, Busquets AND Pique are both marking Carvajal lmfaoooooo. And Pique gets tripped by Busquets.

This is halfway between zonal and man marking but both half assed.

14/14 wins with Umtiti in Liga Florentino Perez, 2/10 without. Leads the team with aerial duels with 30 won with 77% success (Pique second with 29 with 60% success) and passing success with 93.1% (Rafinha second with 91.7%).

The best pure defender with Puyol and Pique in Barca the last decade, and seems to be at the right place all the time, been probably the third best player this season after Messi and Neymar. I'm very impressed with him.
