Lingard wouldn't be starting if Sterling and Lallana were available. Good squad option to have though since he's comfortable on both wings and in the middle.

If we had a decent centre mid floating about it'd actually be a watchable team.

Can't think of one decent performer so far tbh. Hart I guess for making a good save.

Don't know what our plan is in attack. Sturridge is dropping too deep and barely linking up with the three behind him. Not sure Alli has played many passes into Lingard or Walcott either.

Disjointed in the final third. No combination play. No link up. Wingers and fullbacks not working well. No one passing well from deep.

If Rooney comes on and changes the game then I am going to shut up for the rest of my life about him.

This isn't a team set-up for Alli's strengths i.e running in behind, pressing, running at players. His lack of playmaking ability and vision gets exposed because no else in the team can do it either.

But then he's still very young and inexperienced, so he's the least of our worries.

Both Henderson and Dier with awful back passes. Why oh why can we not produce a central midfielder who can actually use the ball effectively.
