Actually defends and is a natural born leader not seen since Terry retired, but Southgate will pick some bums because they can pass to their fullback one second and let their opposing striker slip by them the next.
I thought you didn't watch football

Hard to disagree tbh
It has indeed become boring AF
I think next year's CL should be better though with the new format and all
Other leagues will continue remain boring for a neutral

Re: The Three Lions
I don't really want to go too deep into this but i feel like the money being how it is has just contributed to that tbh.
The talent isn't spread around at the top as much as it used to, i can't believe i'm saying this considering my history but i think i'm actually looking forward to the WC considering this reality.

Re: The Three Lions
Squad will be announced tomorrow but apparently Hart and Wilshere have been left out and Delph is on the plane:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/may/15/joe-hart-england-world-cup-squad-out-gareth-southgate-west-ham?CMP=share_btn_tw
Stones, Maguire, and Jones are going to be our CB options with Walker and Dier being alternatives. Tarkowski will be on standby.
So my educated guess would be:
Keepers: Nick Pope, Jack Butland, Jordan Pickford
Defenders: John Stones, Phil Jones, Harry Maguire, Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ashley Young
Midfielders: Eric Dier, Jordan Henderson, Jake Livermore, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fabian Delph, Jesse Lingard, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling
Forwards: Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Marcus Rashford, Danny Welbeck

Oh my, that is a depressing squad selection. This is definitely gonna be a blood, sweat and tears performance because technique and talent are not exactly optional.

Re: The Three Lions
Defense is still somehow manageable
But that midfield is appalling.
All hopes rest on Kane-Dele Alli to carry England

Seriously, Jake fking Livemore got picked and I really don't understand how or why. I need PL experts to educate me on this.

That's not the official squad btw. Just what I think is most likely. Livermore is a Southgate favourite for reasons beyond anyone but him.

Saw a report saying Southgate doesn't want to take him because of his displinary record.
If Southgate did his research he'd know he has 0 yellows and 0 reds since the 13th December.

He had that one red where he stamped on Alli which everyone rightfully gave him shit for.
But it's Alli so i'm willing to let it slide tbh.

Re: The Three Lions
can't take any excuse regarding disciplinary action seriously when you have twats like Alli in the starting 11 tbh, he may get away with it but he's a pure scumbag
I agree looking at that shite midfield Shelvey would be one of the first names on my list tbh

Re: The Three Lions
I think Shelvey could have been really good at an international tournament where the level isn't always as high as in the Prem. His weakness is playing against high-pressing teams, but when he gets a bit time on the ball he can spread out some world-class passes and he probably would have got that time in most matches at the WC.
If Delph indeed is picked I'd be curious to see him get minutes. He quietly had a decent season, albeit mostly at left-back, but who knows, maybe he's in form.
