Nah avoiding them since they are pretty much TWOW spoilers

Won't you get spoiled anyway once you watch the season? Or do you still believe in a TWOW release before season 7?
But yeah I can understand avoiding them tbf

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
actually don't think the show spoilers are legit and if they are can't see GRRM rolling with them
think the show will be 80% different from the books going forward tbh, like Stannis and Dorne stuff won't happen

Don't think anything has been confirmed.
Agree.
At least I hope it'll be like that.

Not a chance. It's gonna take TWOW a least four months to edit so even if GRRM finishes the book in one hour, it won't be released before March.

Disagree. They'd find a way to speed it up if they get a chance to release the book before S7.

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
3 months is the minimum. Last year they told GRRM if he finishes by December 31st they can speed up and release the book by March because GRRM wanted the book to be released before season 6.

I sure as hell don't want him to rush the book just because of the series.
I'd prefer for it to be finished late but as high quality as the rest of them.

Douchebag thought he could finish the book by Dec 31st, almost 1 year ago. Here we are 11 months later...
I have become very bitter about this.
I agree the spoilers suck, hope they dont turn out to be true.

Not reading them, hell no.
If they're true, then all the twists and events will lose some emotion and shock factor.
If they're not true, I'll still have the nagging feeling all I read might end up to be false.
And in both cases I'll feel dirty for just not waiting a few months. Not worth it, IMO. This is Game of Thrones so we'll undoubtedly be shocked sooner or later, for the better or for the worse.

I think it will be out this year. (But hey, I thought the same thing last year).

Has anyone else read "A knight of the Seven Kingdoms"? I'm actually finding it rather boring.

It has a different feel compared to ASOIAF. If you were bored while reading Brienne chapters, chances are you will be bored reading this.

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
It's too damn big though & a lot of pointless parts - The Griff storyline with Tyrion dragged on & on. I skip a lot of parts.
But many characters are fleshed out so much better. Euron Greyjoy is absolutely amazing & he seems a dufus in the show - They really should build him!

If the leaks can be believed, Euron Greyjoy has a big part to play next season

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
The last ASOIAF book came out in 2011 when the first episode of Game of Thrones aired. There's a a chance that 8 seasons later and the last episode of Game of Thrones airs-- GRRM still won't have finished a book.

I am telling you. He has lost interest in it because of the show telling his story for him lol.
