Was ok. Of course clouds gathered right after I'd left and it almost started to rain when I had left the inner city
Apart from yesterday, there was not one single day in August where one could rely on good weather. Absolutely annoying summer.
But it got better again; Babelsberg is a likeable club with a nice cozy stadium.
Sadly their GK didn't have what it takes to produce a cup sensation - he gifted Freiburg a goal after 20 min and the thing was settled. Babelsberg were rather poor and it was never contentious.
But there are good news too, unbelievably Dresden still managed to kick out Red Bull Leipzig after being 2:0 down
Very happy about that.
Gladbach doesn't seem to have had the easiest of strolls?
But of course you must be happy about arch-supervillains Rot-Weiss Essen losing on penalties?

Re: DFB-Pokal 2016/17
Well, it's always a good thing to see RWE lose, especially as RWO are playing utter crap this season, result-wise. At least today we manage to get the equalizer in injury time. All hail Terra, our football good (former striker and longtime fan favourite) who took over as coach this week.
Gladbach played with numerous substitutes compared to the YB match, who were thought to be pretty good themselves, but who totally didn't show it today,. But then, D/A set up a very respectable defense, so it was kudos to them properly parking the bus that Gladbach only scored once. At least this match didn't go into extra time as so many of the others this afternoon.
And yeah, down with the tin cans! All hail Dynamo Dresden for that!

ffs
during yesterday's Pokal derby between Dynamo Dresden and Red Bull Leipzig, Dynamo supporters actually threw the severed head of a bull from the stands onto the ground

One is always left to wonder how they manage to smuggle certain things into the stadiums nowadays...

So far only Rote Brause and Werder Bremen are out among the Bundesliga clubs. Last season the little clubs were more effective. ^^

Maybe someone told him he'd sign for the 'old lady' and he thought it's Juve?

A bit poor that Regensburg can't fill their new 15.000 stadium even for a cup game against a bundesliga club like Hertha

The goalie from Aue was in the right corner for several times, but the guys from Ingolstadt just shot too hard....

Re: DFB-Pokal 2016/17
7 ties finished in penalties, of those 7 were 5 involving a Bundesliga team playing against an opponent from lower divisions

Re: DFB-Pokal 2016/17
So far we had 4 games decided in extra time and 7 matches that went to penalty shoot-outs in the DFB-Pokal. The smaller clubs didn't make it easy for the bigger ones, even when most of them ultimately failed.
