Not completely convinced Pep is in complete control tbh.
I mean he might be but every player they have so far been linked with they were after before Pep got the job.
Seems more like they are bringing names forward and he's okaying them or not, not that it matters as Pep doesn't have a great transfer record and neither does City so they are probably *bleep* regardless.

They're stockpiling on fast, dribbling wingers. They have Sterling, bought Nolito, and have all but confirmed the arrivals of Gabriel Jesus, Sane, and Marlos Moreno.
They're going to be an unreal team on FIFA 17. Gundogan, KDB, and Silva spraying DEM passes to the wingers and then you have Aguero to finish it off ffs.

Gundogan, Nolito, Zinchenko, Lorenzo Gonzalez, Benjamin Garre confirmed.
Gabriel Jesus, Marlos Moreno, Leroy Sane, John Stones, Geronimo Rulli to come
Pablo Maffeo, Angelino, Jason Denayer, Tosin Adarabioyo, Aleix Garcia promoted from academy.
Futures bright.

They're short and are wingers from South America. 90+ pace guaranteed.

Moreno, first 6 star skiller in the game, even his rainbow flicks are sexier than Neymar's.

What's your situation on the home grown players front for this year's squad? To have a 25-man squad, 8 need to be home-grown.

Just register 17 talented foreigners with the remainder should you need them from your under 21's. Job Done.
We could register Clichy, Hart, Delph and Stones (should be sign) as home grown.
Sterling is still 21 so is classified as a youth player.
But yeah the way to circumvent this stupid rule is to have 17 quality foreigners and and a tonne of talent at youth level. It's why Chelsea and ourselves have the two top academies.

Another City summer and they still haven't replaced their fullbacks lol.
I'm quite surprised about that.

Its not like Guardiola's teams have had amazing full-backs tho with the exception of his GOAT Barca team where had Abidal and Alves.
At one point, he was fielding Rafinha and Bernat

Lahm and Alaba
I know he didn't always play them there, but the option was always there and at Bayern he played 3 at the back a lot anyway.
At City it's just crap lol.

Guardiola - "by August 31 we will have the squad to play how we want."
It doesn't look like their done signing just yet.

Nolito is such a shit signing for city. A winger who has no pace is simply the definition of "cant do it on a cold night at stoke"

Weigl would be perfect for the #6 position. KDB has been pretty poor for me, although he looks pretty tired. Surprised he isn't being given more time off tbh. Once they get their positional structure sorted they should walk the epl tbh. So much space between the lines it's pathetic.

Issue with KdB i've notice is that he is being asked to play too deep. He doesn't have the pace so by the time he gets to the final 3rd the defense has recovered and organized.
Also Bravo pretty much in. Watching Willy Caballero distribution last game

Yea but even then his passing has been poor and he has picked terrible options. Sterling is looking good and confident. Navas has no business in that team, literally does nothing. Can't cross, awful at cutting off pasing lanes, his passing and picking the right options is abysmal.
Bravo will be a massive upgrade. Otamendi is too rash and is terrible with his positioning which means he is always trying to recover and risking sliding. His passing is subpar most of the time. Stones is like Blind is one of if not the only 2 CBs in the league that can break blocks with his passing. Kun tracking back consistently and pressing is good to see. Ianacho is the real MVP, the movement for those last 2 goals. He adds better vertical penetration than Kun, but Kun is still the best finisher in Europe for me.
Willy kept kicking long by the end, he gave up on playing from the back

Excited to watch Sterling this season--he's looked good so far. I've predicted that Pep would be really good for him and so far so good. He looks a lot more confident.

So how will it all fit when their 3 wingers arrive by next year beginning. Obviously they wont be able to shoehorn all of them. Will KdB miss out then? Pep it seems trust Silva and Sterling so far. Sane will occupy one flank. Jesus perhaps occupy the 10 ? That leaves Nolito and KdB out.

Pep played with 3 wingers and 3 fullbacks at the same time a bunch of games last season at bayern. He'll do it some weird way to make it work.
