So with the season now almost over and people's opinion unlikely to change over the cup final, what does everyone think?

There was no standout best player.Suarez is the star of the season. He should win la liga player of the year. He passion and determination was very important. But i still think Messi allowed him to be the star.

He sacrificed his glory for Suarez and team titles in last 2 seasons. Shared his central "Tapins" position with Suarez, forced him to score penalties (Suarez doesnt like to take penalties) and helped him to win golden boot. He never showed this respect to Villa Ibra Sanchez or Pedro

Suarez. No doubt. He can have a bad 1st touch sometimes, and have some frustrating matches. But he's a warrior, never gave up.

Can't wait for bandwagoner kneejerk opinion though.

Suarez for me. Has been the best player in the world overall for the last 3 seasons and certainly the most valuable. Hope he finally gets his due and wins the Ballon D'Or.

If he carries Uruguay to the Copa America and wins he should seriously be considered to win the Ballon D'Or. Especially if Ronaldo flops in the UCL final/Euros (Messi was still better than Ronaldo this season as well)

Messi had a good season too, especially since he missed 2 months and still had a 40 goal season.

But Suarez was just too good. Hopefully, we see more of this in the coming seasons. Been so long that we saw some great CF power play.
