Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
You need medical help How many times have we made the CL Final since 2002? This will be twice. Enjoy it ffs. You can't play attractive footy when your team is built like this and you have a ton of injuries.
We're playing smart for once.

For god's sake, am I the only Real Madrid fan on GL who feels dissatisfied and worried about our team's unconvincing display? City is the third non-elite CL team that we struggled against.
Next opponent? Atlético freaking Madrid; a team that knocked out Barça and Bayern. They're no City, no Wolfsburg and no Roma. If we play like this against them, it's a guaranteed loss.
Heck, we struggled against them and couldn't score until the 93rd minute with a much superior Real Madrid side.
Stop being arrogant and try for once to look at our team with no bias or emotions. We're struggling bad dammit.
What the f.....?
We just made it into the CL Final despite our trainwreck courtesy of Rafa, and here you are shitting on the team during a time of celebration and when we actually played more than convincing?
By all that is Turok, what the hell is wrong with you?

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Wait we struggled against City We were so comfortable, Marcelo was making roulettes, Ronaldo was scoring with his hands and Zidane putting in James and Kovacic in a big game something he hasnt done since he took over. City got nowhere we were unbelievably comfortable. Jese struggled because he isnt a CF and Ronaldo played his first game since the start of last month

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
we were fantastic in this game. completely dominant.
we need too upgrade on casemiro asap. he's a good backup but seeing how well we got out of defence with kroos and modric it's clear that we need a WC DM. Weigl, Neves, Matic ...

For starters, Chad rel wicked to criticise Ronaldo for the same thing that he defended Benzema for i.e playing while being very much half fit.
Also DoC, we played well. Yeah, Ramos did his very best to be cancer but at the same time, he was disciplined for the majority of the game. Also, we made a UCL final. I mean, don't be such a grouch.

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Kroos had a storming game. Passing, tackling, intercepting and breaking up play. Excellent timing, we will need such for the Final.
And Ramos did the Armband justice. No foot wrong and was a leader on the pitch. If only we see this Ramos more often we would have league in tow!
Let's not forget Keylor Navas. Current best gk in the world. 10/10 performance.

There is no use supporting the club if you can't even enjoy them reaching a freaking final, a Champions League Final! Especially after the season we had. Who would've thought right? The Demon of Carthage wrote:Stop being arrogant and try for once to look at our team with no bias or emotions. We're struggling bad dammit.
To be honest, you're the one who's being arrogant. I don't know if you're just being a perfectionist or somewhat being overly critical to the point where you might feel relief if we do lose so you can say that you were right.
There is no helping you man.

I wouldn't expect such a statement from a serious poster, let alone an admin. To be honest, you're the one who's being arrogant. no man... vent away. But don't get offended if people react back too. It's just part of being on a message board. People should express exactly how they feel without being sheep.

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
I have a sense that Zidane is going to surprise Simone. Both team trying to play conservative defense first!!
I'm not negative like DoC, I called this final a week ago when he said I was too quickly jumping the gun (and I also predicted the EL final will be all Spanish - wait for tomorrow to see how that one turns out). So now I'm saying we are going to get the Champions League again for the 11th time!!! Not bad at all for a team that has tonnes of problems!!

Don't do that. I wasn't offended at all and sure maybe I disagree with you slightly on that post but it's always good to see other's viewpoints.

I fear for Ramos against Griezmann. That kid is very smart and tricky. He immediately takes advantage of positioning errors by defenders.

Real Madrid is always great. it is only those at the top and whoever is the coach who limits us. Thankfully Florentino got rid of Rafa quickly enough for Zidane to steer this ship to clear waters.
Zidane is the right man for the job and I feel we may have a real chance for a title this season.
Hopefully everyone recovers in time for the biggest game of the season.

We have an awful lot of injuries. Ronaldo should go back and focus on his recovery. Bale should be rested. We cant afford injuries to these players

That would mean giving up on la liga though.
Remember what I spoke in the other thread? Priorities man. Priorities.
I say we fight for the League now that we've secured our place in the final. will be difficult but if Barca/atletico are to win the league, we will at least make them work hard for it.
Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
YAAAAAAA! WHOOO!
Moments and opportunities like these are what we breathe for as Madridistas...
Was able to watch the second half and boy it was intense...especially considering i was holding in urine for almost an hour...what a relief @ the end.
If we lose, at least we won't lose to a close CL rival (by that i mean Bayern or Barca won't be catching up to our CL count) and if we win....
WE WIN!!!
What a pleasure to be able to say my team has given me the pleasure to watch them play another CL Final...
Hala Madrid.

Valencia are absolutely horrendous though. They lost at home to Villarreal who rested many of their players and drew against Getafe. We are in a good momentum it seems like we keep winning no matter who starts. James is more than capable of starting in attack and so is Lucas. We cant afford injuries to certain players and I believe we should rest them

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Pepe: "Benitez had told me that I was the third choice central back but with my hard work, I am now about to play a UCL final."
First sending a usb stick to Ronaldo with a how to score for dummies guide, then telling Isco to score more, then making Carvajal a back up and to top it all off telling the best CB in the world that he is 3rd choice. Cant believe we didnt sack him sooner. Nearly destroyed our club in half a season

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Pepe has suddenly turned to the best CB after all the berating?
Pepe is experienced and keeps his best game for the biggest ocassion, but we know he has been shit a lot of times this season. He got lucky that Varane decided to be so shit too. A defender dat was known for his composure and passing accuracy suddenly hoofs balls that pepe would not even hoof.
@Demon of Carthage
I always got your back with your comments but I think at this stage, we should be more concerned about victory. If despite our mistakes, we made it this far, then I wudnt mind a disjointed team if that's what it takes to get to the final.
But honestly, we could improve. We did improve tonight, more forward passes, faster passes and one-touch, but our final ball was just as bad as a sewer.
Everyone did well apart from Jese.

Varane wasn't shit... he's been good. Just can't stay healthy. Pepe-Ramos have been effective so Zidane has no reason to change that duo even with Varane healthy. He's going with the hot pairing.
