UCL Ro16: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Areola and Altube.
Defenders: Carvajal, Militão, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo and Mendy.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde and Isco.
Forwards: Benzema, Bale, Lucas Vázquez, Jović and Vinicius Jr.
Not gonna say much since the past couple of games have left me with less and less confidence in the attack. Hopefully our defense steps up and carry us to a victory.

I fear the worst here. City's defense struggles against speed and you need to be decently clinical. Our players with speed couldn't score with an empty-net while our more skilled players would finish 3rd in a race with a pregnant woman.

Re: UCL Ro16: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
You never know with Bale, to be fair. Sometimes he shows up, sometimes he doesn't. Other times, he shows up and then gets carried off.
I really don't know how to feel about this match. On one hand, City have looked quite underwhelming in recent time. They've had a lot of defensive issues in Laporte's absence (he's back now), and they've lacked the intensity that I've become accustomed to seeing from them. Personally, it seems to me that some of their players simply aren't as motivated as they used to be. Maybe it's because they've already won the league multiple times, I don't know, but there's definitely less of a sense of urgency in how they've played this season. They've also never impressed anyone in the Champions League.
On the other hand, they've yet to win the competition, and as it stands, they won't be able to compete in it for a while after this season. That should be all the incentive they need to really fight for progression while they're still in it. As absurd as it may sound, it wouldn't surprise me if some of their players are keen on making a statement in this match as well, considering they may be on the lookout for a team that will be playing CL football over the next two years. I hope they respect us as much as they've done in the past. It would be great if we manage to score an early goal, somehow.

What happens when they lose this and the weekend match against Barca? Is the season essentially over then?

What do you estimate the probability of each of these scenarios?

They are close to 0
Zidane ought to stop playing with the XI. These next two games are must wins. No excuses for either the players or the coach

Can't see Citeh managing a single shot on goal let alone scoring one. 0- 0 is best possible result for them.

Re: UCL Ro16: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
City have been the better team
It's impossible to press with Modric in that midfield 3. He is too unathletic
These recent losses are definitely weighing on these players. They are too afraid to concede
I'd probably put Lucas on sometime in the second half. We need an extra winger. They are triple teaming Vinicius but he gets no support from the midfielders

Re: UCL Ro16: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Isco needs to go off.. we have no width
we’ve neutralized de bruyne and mahrez at the expense of jesus and mendy..
zizou has to change something if we can’t naturally create width/chances with creative wingers/fullbacks and we all know we can’t score

City are bad.
But we are even terrible.
The attack is the worst in RM history.
Good bye CL.

Bale, Marcelo and Modric need to get out of this team Juli at the latest. I have had enough of seeing their terrible asses in this team.
