I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger had Eboue in mind when he made that sub. He knew Giroud wasn't playing well but taking him off in that environment would have destroyed whatever confidence he had left.

Doesn't explain why Giroud started in the first place, but I'm glad, in a way, that we didn't have to see the ugly reaction otherwise.

Wenger brings unnecessary attention to Giroud when he forces him into the team while not deserving it.

Doesn't help that he hasn't signed a proper player to challenge him either, even Giroud acknowledges that he's not good enough to be the main striker here. But for Wenger it's more important to prove everyone wrong instead of quickly fixing things.

What has Ramsey done since returning? we have players in the youth team who can come in and do better job.

Really feel sorry for Joel. I just dont understand how certain players keep starting when they offer nothing. smoking
