Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
was a Young Jeezy fanboy back when he first became mainstream in like 05/06 or w/e
not heard a single song from him since the one you posted which was like 2008/9 I think

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Been listening to a bit more of Young Jeezy. Actually decent. Soul Survivor
Man, can't believe how big Stormzy has become lol. All because of 'shut up'. Soon he is going to be featuring with the likes of Drake
Well done to him though.

Seriously pissed now. He was doing free pop up gigs on Camden and Picadilly and now he's left for Croydon.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Never were much into Young Jeezy. His voice always pissed me off lol. Then again never were much into old school southside rappers with the exception of rappers like 3k, Big Boi, T.I. etc.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
I don't really rate Stormzy much, he has some good tracks/songs but he's nothing special. Mostly getting hyped because he's a marketable UK rapper with cross-over appeal

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
I wasn't really into the southern rappers either back when southern rap was running the rap game Versacci but T.I was one of the few exceptions. He had lots of great songs.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Liked Skepta's latest album aswell. Konichiwa think it's called. Pretty damn good. The UK slang is hilarious.
"I don't know why man's callin' me family all of a sudden
Like hmm, my mum don't know your mum
Stop telling man you're my cousin"

This.
I liked him for a while, I still do. But he ain't all that I realised once I started listening to more of his songs. He's a one-dimensional rapper. And he is not the brightest with originality in his lyrics, I mean it's "hashtag this" and "hashtag that".

Stopped listening to the album halfway through. Way to boring. The singing parts was very meh.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
I feel like More Life shouldn't count.
I feel it's a project just waiting to be trash. I mean Drake has been touring for how long and how much now since the start of last year, has he really had time to sit down and put some genuine effort into this project.
At best, it's going to be on WATTBA level

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Future released another album to complete his double album.
1. Future
2. HNDRXX
First album was crap on my first listen. Second album is much better so far on my first listen.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Just listened to Game's 1992. I don't know how that slipped under my radar. Saw the buildup to its release and forgot to get it when it did come out.
Love Game's politically conscious side. Shame it doesn't come out more often. His discography is so stacked if you think about it. Few have been so consistently great since he came up in 2005. Kanye, Kendrick and Nas come to mind.
