I like Germany with a CF. Everytime they have Klose or Gomez they play better than with 7 AMs

It wasn't even that good a shot. It's a speculative shot that should have been saved easily. Butland switched off completely.

We've played well but have lacked quality and composure in forward areas. Germany have been meh but still took advantage of two openings. Should be 2-0 up.

That's true

It did stem from there, Bayern had Martinez or Piggy though so you could probably get away with it in that instance.

England looks ok. Positive signs. In a competitive match I'd guess the plan is to press high and tight so they are bound to look much worse in a friendly where they dont bring it physically.

Germany looks much better as expected, should be 2-0. But they benefit from the friendly nature of the game and still dont seem as sharp as in Brazil. The need to play Kroos further up or not at all and try to sort out their backline.

The high block/press has been something we've been doing in recent games. We've got players who are good at running around a lot, so it suits them.

Putting together a cohesive attack has been a lot more challenging, though. Also a lack of individual quality in defence doesn't help.

Wilshere instead of Henderson and Sterling/Barkley instead of Lallana and it looks like a good midfield and attack

Him and Ozil were ghosting. Khedira and Reus were much more involved.
