Who do you want as our next manager?
Re: Next Manager thread
Young Coach who would develop his own style of football, play good attacking but controlled football, being flexible tactically, give youth chance and also importantly someone who can get on well with other staff at the club since this role now gonna be different to how Wenger almost worked on his own
i would like to think those two would fit the bill as i said maybe seeing Nagelsmann as what Arteta can be but for now a step ahead
so either would do for me

For you RG:

I'd really dislike seeing Van Gaal as Arsenal manager. Something just doesn't seem right about that possibility.
That said, if LVG were to become the next boss I'd certainly hope for the best.

The Bosnian news agency that broke Klopp and Buvac were to take over at Liverpool (the day before Brendan Rodgers was sacked) have this morning broke a story that Buvac is Arsenal bound as Wenger’s replacement.. #LFC #AFC pic.twitter.com/tW7riTaZ0f

That's literally the worst idea I've ever come across
why are Arsenal trying so hard to be Dortmund? Aren't they aware of the state of Dortmund?

Re: Next Manager thread
from what i read, Buvac left for family reasons and not because there was a vacant job at Arsenal lol.
With the amount of bundesliga signings we are being linked with and with the recent signing of Mislintat, I am 60% sure the manager is going to be german or from bundesliga. It just makes sense. Not to mention with the players already at the club and our star man being Ozil.

Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat believes Liverpool's assistant manager Zeljko Buvac is the man to replace Arsene Wenger as manager.
looks like its going to happen. what are you guys thoughts on it if it does.

Re: Next Manager thread
The Times are saying if Buvac comes he will be part of our coaching staff, not the manager.
This is all leading up to Arteta coming as manager, he will be the face of the club, a guy that is well spoken and respected, someone that is likeable among Arsenal fans while Buvac, Mislintat and Sanllehi pull the strings from behind the scenes.

Like that's in any way, shape or form a solution that would work.
That's as unrealistic as fans fantasizing about elaborate player swap schemes.
Arteta and Buvac have never worked together, and neither has ever led a coaching staff.
There's no way they could successfully take over an operation of the size of Arsenal, let alone in a fragile complicated construction without a clear boss.
And what's more, why would Buvac leave one assistant job to serve as assistant at a less successful club under a complete nobody.

Klopp and Buvac have fallen out and he's not going to retire just because he can't work with Klopp anymore. He has to work somewhere and Arsenal are a big club that pay well.

Re: Next Manager thread
A bit too neatly fit for my liking. I imagine Arteta would want to bring his own people in like Xabi and such. Bould is as good as gone then regardless of who we bring in.

I don't actually believe that Buvac and Klopp have fallen out, at least not for good.

Re: Next Manager thread
Just a couple thoughts. ESPN report that key figures at Arsenal want a young manager.
http://www.espn.com/soccer/arsenal/story/3483208/arsenal-hierarchy-want-emerging-coach-to-replace-arsene-wenger-sources
I recently watched this video about Nagelsmann's Hoffenheim tactics (from last year), at it occurred to me that the 5-3-2ish set-up described there would map onto some of the assets & weaknesses of the Arsenal squad as it is: two strikers, two attacking mids who push up and are mobile, and width coming in the form of wingbacks. I'm not saying it's right or wrong or likely, but a manager who can craft something successful with those characteristics might be very interesting.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilq5hMy1yZc
Of course Nagelsmann publicly distanced himself from the Arsenal job a week or two ago, but things can change.

Re: Next Manager thread
new LB and another RB for competition. Preferably someone like Sagna.
I am quite sure Meyer is a CAM. Rather have Ruben Neves imo. Championship proven too which is far better than bundesliga.
