Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Didn't BVB put a €100mil price on Auba?
I'd be more open to Morata if the deal was structured like the Martial and Dembele deals recently i.e. less money up front and huge bonuses/performance based fees. Not sure if Madrid would be open to that, though.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I am very doubtful that Dortmund will want that much money. 40-50mill seems to be going rate for CFs in todays market I dont think the sale of Auba will exceed that. That said isnt Vardy available for around 25-30mill pounds (according to DM). He could be an excellent stop gap signing.
I dont think we will do those bonus contract deals that other clubs do. But I do think it may be lowered if there was a player involved, perhaps Koscielny if Varane leaves, i dont know.
Rest assured 40-50mill is the lowest Wenger is going to have to spend if he wants a CF. It only depends on who he spends it on. Morata, Aubamayang, Cavani will all be going for that much if they leave

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Dortmund will lose Hummels and Gündogan this summer.
They won't let another top player leave. If someone offers crazy money for Aubameyang (80m € +), they'll think about it of course.
40m €? Forget it
He's got plenty of contract left, as opposed to Hummels and Gündogan.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Yeah, its like pretty incredible how people think. Its like as if clubs are waiting to receive €50M pittance sums from these financially stacked teams.
This goes beyond money.Teams like Dortmund that play in the CL and compete for the league would be averse to too many changes in a yr as would any team in their position.
€100M is obscene money for Aubameyang and they know no club is going to offer it.Unless players are forcing themselves out, they wouldnt have to sell anybody.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
All teams that have these CFs dont need to sell. The only way they move is if the player wants it himself. None of the Clubs are in a rush to sell. Cant say Auba does not feel alittle dissapointed with Dortmund's constant turnover. He is practically 27 and in his prime with aspirations to win trophies. Dortmund may put an obscene price tag on him to fend off interest of course, but if it came to him actually moving I very much doubt that it will be for more than 50 mill

Aubameyang... Higuain... Griezmann.
No point discussing these players considering that there's no way we can attract them even if their clubs were willing to sell in the first place.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
We could attract Higuain if we offered the money.
We won't though. He'll cost at least 80m this window.
But Auba and Griezmann aren't coming here lol

Wenger's going to make all of us look bad when he signs Messi this August.
And plays him at left wingback

There are pipeline dreams like Auba and Higuain.. and then there is Lukaku, Lacazette and Ibrahimovic.
Morata is a decent contingency plan at £30m

Today's Gazzetta dello Sport says Real Madrid will activate Morata's €30m clause after the CL final & Arsenal have readied a €60m offer

No bid for Morata, but we are actively in talks with another player. #striker #afc

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Nothing can happen before July 1-16 with Morata. That's when their buyback clause activates.
I don't care who the player is, so long as they improve us but €60m is funny money.

Xhaka in, Benatia wouldn't be too hard to snap up from Bayern, Morata rumors are gaining traction, regardless of what you think of him, it shows we want a CF. We could have a solid summer yet.
We've also been linked with Villarreal's 25 year old CB Mateo Musacchio.

That's a very good player none of us have considered yet.
I'm intrigued. What's the source?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
He'll cost 24m. It's his release clause and he's under contract till 2020. So I don't see us being able to negotiate down at all.
Seems like a lot for him. But I'm down for almost anything tbh.
With Welbeck out and Walcott done I'd sign him and Morata tbh

So now we've signed two deep mids with a Basel background?
We now have a German-background midfield trio, gonna be so efficient

So it seems Dani Alves is leaving Barcelona for Juventus. Be prepared for rumours about Bellerin, maybe even the usual tapping up from Barca.
