It's a mess because no-one is playing it. A peak of 14k people for a game that came out last month and just had free DLC is absolutely atrocious and you can't have effective matchmaking with that kind of a user base.

Less people play Battlefront on PC than Euro Truck Simulator 2. Granted, it has more depth than Battlefront but that's just embarrassing. Counterstrike 1.6 is almost 17 years old and still hits 26k

The holy grail of FPS's is an FPS that can be enjoyed on PC as well as Consoles which probably wont happen since they have conflicting design goals.

The only games to achieve this were Call of Duty 4 and Halo.

It's full price 60€, half the above list is free to play and the other half is less than 30€, CSGO is 14€.

The exception is Black Ops 3 which is currently 45€.

The same question for Rainbow 6 applies to Battlefront; what actually justifies its €60 price tag when its competitors cost far far less and offer more.

Not about Battlefront as i could care less because i enjoy it when it's not constantly lagging.

But i will never understand the outrage over full price multiplayer only games and no one has an issue with full price 10 hour or less single player games.

People love to complain. It's easier than keeping your mouth shut.

It's because the full price MP only games that have come out (Titanfall, Battlefront, Battlefield: Harline, Evolve and now Rainbow 6) were lackluster or downright dog****

Battlefield 4 had a single player campaign but even it didn't have one a full price MP only release wouldn't have had people complaining because the game has enough depth that more people are playing it 2 years later than its 2 descendants.

Also all of them have more content than any game that was 10 hours or less.

Plus the fact they were lackluster or not is irrelevant, people say multiplayer only games shouldn't be full price full stop and that's crap when there's many single player games coming out all the time with much less content yet nobody complains.

Can you give some examples? Cause the only one I can think of is the Tomb Raider reboot and I know you liked that.

Don't say Bioshock Infinite because despite its flaws a lot more work was required for it than any of the above games.

The Order was a Peasant 4 exclusive, there's your answer. Console games are always going to be released at the €60 price point (because of MS's and Sony's cut), especially since everyone f'ed up by getting Microsoft to reverse its digital licensing plans.

Talking of which, some French consumer interests group is trying to sue Valve over the fact that its digital licenses are non-transferable. Which funnily enough, is not in the consumers best interest. I would rather have non-transferable licenses and the ability to buy Black ops 3 for 45€ a month after it was released and Steam sales in general than have the ability to sell my games.

If you are talking from a PC POV then fair enough, because games are usually cheaper there across the board but on console i don't quite understand the logic.

Me neither, but there's a lot of things I don't understand about consoles lol.. like 30fps being acceptable and adding motion blur on top of that to **** on your eyes even more.

Maybe it's because I have a 100Hz screen but 60fps feels and looks laggy to me while 30fps is almost unplayable depending on the game.

But the 60€ (or whatever "full price" is where you are) price point is here to stay for consoles judging from the outrage at Microsofts proposed plans for Xbone and the fact that there's no competition.

Hurrr dhurrr consoles suck. PC rules. Grow the f up.

Console peasants seem to be perfectly happy with their inferior consoles while PC elites like you always seem to complain, whine, bitch, moan about something or the other.

I've been posting and reading on the Rainbow Six forums lately, and people generally seem to love the concept and gameplay, but there are TONS of people complaining about the poor servers, lack of campaign and limited content in general. Content-wise, it's pretty similar to Battlefront. The game has a mode where you can play solo, but it still requires you to be connected to the internet.. which is really silly, considering how unstable the Ubisoft servers are right now. Another complaint is that the game changed drastically from the closed Alpha testing phase, where the game looked and felt a lot better (reference) than the final product. They decided to dumb down the game, downgrade the graphics and simplify certain things, like the hostage in the video that acts like an actual hostage was replaced with a silent dummy with tape over his hands and mouth.

They also hardly changed anything at all from the beta phase. I feel that the "subject to change"- tag in beta tests does nothing else than mislead people into thinking that the the actual game will be drastically different, while in reality the only purpose of the beta tests is to allow people to play a near identical version of the game early, for the price of having to pre-order the game.

I could outline why the whole console ecosystem is detrimental to gaming but that would be like showing a Christian the misogynistic verses and slavery guidelines in the Bible.

Response was not emotianally charged at all. You just randomly called PS4 Peasant 4 and posted your facts. No one disputes your facts but guess what, no one cares either. Everyone has consoles over PC for their own reasons, convenience, personal preference, online community, exclusive games etc. And everyone seems perfectly happy with it. You have the ultra superior PC but can't keep your mouth shut about inferior consoles and every day you have something to moan about. Seeing your emotional state it really looks like picking consoles was the far better option

Last time I posted anything remotely related to PC versus console was over a month ago that was more about the schills at IGN and their bigotry and comparing IGN to lol.com...

The post before that that was directly related to consoles was me pointing out and recommending Dell's $299 Gears of War Ultimate, Fallout 4 and second controller bundle... Not exactly the picture you're painting.

I think half the forum can attest that I've mean moaning about Battlefront more than anything else lately
