He has almost no ties to Spain, because he spends 99% of his time with his dad whose an Brazilian International, and Thiago was only born in Italy due to his father's career in Italy, so he stuck around in Italy.

He's very Brazilian, more than anything else.

We? I don't remember deciding anything. We didn't reject him, Ricardo Teixeira did, that brazilian cancer. Now we have a brazilian talent playing for another country, how pleasant.

This is not the place and the time for a Ricardo Teixeira rant. Very Happy

I think all Brazilians can agree that he's a cancer and needs to be stopped.

Imo it doesn't matter where your parents are from and such, if you have a citizenship in a country you should play for them if you want to.
All people originates from the same place anyway.

That's common sense, good sense, whatever, since you're portuguese, it's having "bom senso".

FIFA should ban this thing of national teams getting playing through naturalizations, if it continues like that, national teams football WILL become club football.
Or at least allow only 1 naturalized player.

i'm just trying to say that it doesn't make sense when a guy born in for example in Denmark can't play for USA if he has lived there and feels like he belong + the fact that he has a citizen ship, when everyone else in the world at some point was in the same position.

National teams are for seeing who has the population that plays better football than anyone else. If you get a person from another country it's non-sense. It doesn't matter if the person feels spanish, for example.

Because then we'd have players like Cacau who don't feel like they don't belong but are in a foreign NT just for the WC.

Simply put the fact that there were several Argentinians and one Brazilian in the Mexico NT just doesn't sit too well with me.

Selfish in the sense that most are taking that unnecessary extra touch instead of releasing the ball early.

1-0 France. Another Sunu goal.
