Deco isn't correct. He went to Portugal being 20 years old already. That alone is sufficient to make his call-up to portuguese NT wrong.

I don't doubt these countries pay these players to naturalize and play for them.

well I assume some of the Arabic nations probably do. Like Shiek Emerson who plays for Corinthians, who is a Qatar International.

but as for Rodrigo. He actually has the right to choose.

Oscar has been our best player in both matches.Coutinho's dribbling is amazing and hes fast as hell, its a shame he isnt very creative.Man,I can only imagine us next year in the Olympics with neymar, lucas, pato and ganso in the squad.

Shocked he's been very creative with us...

in all our games his dribbling has been shit/average (he tries to do too much), but his one touch play has always been top drawer

That would be racist.

Next thing you know Navas can't play for the NT because he's a Gypsy (Gitano).

And Isn't Deco's dad Portugese? If you have ties that's enough for me, btw.

Racism? I don't think so, I just want the national teams to be like it was before. I don't want it to become club football. One thing is going to another country to play for a team, another is playing for the national team, it's unacceptable. I don't know how german, portuguese, spanish or italian people agree with foreigners playing for their national team.

No, Deco's dad is brazilian. And I didn't understand the gypsy part.

I don't even comment Germany because they reached a level too ridiculous.

Germany have it the worst next to France and Portugal.

Alcantara was born in Italy from Brazilian and Spanish heritage. IMO, Alcantara had three NT's to choose from (Brazil, Spain, Italy) he chose Spain. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't know how someone like Thiago Alcantara who's father is a 94 world cup winner for Brazil, chooses to play for another country.

Thiago picked Spain because we rejected him lol....

He has almost no ties to Spain, because he spends 99% of his time with his dad whose an Brazilian International, and Thiago was only born in Italy due to his father's career in Italy, so he stuck around in Italy.

He's very Brazilian, more than anything else.

Why not? It's his choice and no one else's.

Unless of course you want Brazil following the path of Portugal, France, and Germany.

He came as a 19 yr old because he wanted to play in Europe.. not because he wanted to represent Portugal. Its just so happened that he became very good over the years and felt that Portugal hones his craft, aside from that it was much attachment, because now he's back in Brazil and wants to retire in Brazil not Portugal. We also didn't chase Deco.

We? I don't remember deciding anything. We didn't reject him, Ricardo Teixeira did, that brazilian cancer. Now we have a brazilian talent playing for another country, how pleasant.

Thiago, yes. iirc Thiago played in Brazil for Flamengo before moving to Barcelona.

Again, Thiago is only playing with Spain because Brazil rejected him on numerous occasions and his father got mad. So he said his son will represent Spain and will no longer play for Brazil.
