Not a fan of Conte at all. He made Juve unbearable to watch and has been doing it with Italy now. Sure he can make Roma a 1-0 team who can grind out results to make it to top 3 and if that's what roma fans wants then of course they are free to want him as their manager. But I rather have Ancelotti than Conte tbh.

At the moment, what Roma fans would prefer now is consolidating their top 2-3 position more than playing 'good football' and losing 7-1 in Europe Laughing
And Conte is ideal for this.

Ancelotti will go to Bayern

Roma with their modest budget would be lucky to have Conte.

Juventus have always been the highest scorers in the league with the exception of 11-12 season under Conte and that's more to do with having Matri/Borriello/Quags as your main strikers.
Again, another myth that he's only good enough for 'grinding out results'.

Agreed Robes.

Pathetic how one bad CL campaign has underrated him so badly.

Even at NT, he has a poor collection of attacking options to deal with.Eder is italy's best striker ffs Laughing

The Juve under Conte with Tevez was a socialist team who doesn't rotate around the Aplace as Allegri ( the last Juve depended  more on Tevez that Conte did ).
Indeed I think Conte plays a good football , the Juve under Conte was one of best Juve seen about it,  even this Italy plays football better than past Italy NTs that had a best quality.
He is a manager with ideas.
Anyway it's not even difficult to make better than Garcia in this.
Garcia is one-dimensional coach , carried by individualities, if Salah and Gervinho can't create chaos he is done
Infact this is one of Roma problems , they'have not a real game and not even a great defensive solidity .. although it'is a team for Scudetto .

Yes, what I said now Laughing

Conte got " bad reputation" for that last CL, but many forget he  got  the maximum the previous year, knocked out by Bayern at quarter-finals with Matri and Quagliarella in attack
I don't believe EuroMax 'd have got better than it Very Happy

Personally I hope to see with a abroad club after NT  because I rate him TBH.

Only thing I didn't like about Conte is obsession with the 3-5-2, he literally made that formation the focal point- all with only having one right back and no left back really Laughing

He was blessed with an incredible spine (excluding attack), centrally, Juventus was just so strong in the defense and the middle.

But what Conte brings is passion, he demands so much from his players and I think he can create a winning mentality with Roma (which is lacking).

I prefer Allegri because he is more calm, more flexible in his options and the way he approaches the game and he is a better "man" manager, in terms of his relationship with the players in my opinion.

Conte can do some serious damage control at Roma.

What I like about Allegri is that he is on another level tactically above Conte, while as motivator he is under him. I also love how Allegri can develop a youngster.

I personally am pragmatic enough that I could take having Conte as a coach. I think if he can bring a blend of results and good football, the scoreline won't matter much as long as it favors Roma. I'll take him all day, every day over Capello. We're still sore over that fiasco almost 15 years ago.

Rudi is really good at getting himself out of tough spots. This is one of those times. I think he can do it again. If he can endure 4 months of monotonous draws that almost lost him the locker room, I think he can survive 4 bad games although we must beat BATE. No ifs about that.

I wouldn't say he was 'blessed'.He was the architect behind creating that strong spine afterall which included a lot of players that finished 7th in previous seasons.I mean he took over a midtable team and along with shrewd signings from Marotta , built the team from scratch and took them to the top.
If anything, Allegri's been blessed to have taken over a top winning team but fortunately he has been able to take the team a level further which Conte was unable to do.
Make no mistake, Conte would be a great hire for a lot of big teams out there who are ready to spend big.I think he would be able to enhance his reputation imo much like other top coaches around if he takes over a rich team.

And so, Lazio is done, no cohesiveness in passing, crap defenders (Marchetti doesn't help, 3rd howler ive seen), fully expect them to sell FA in the summer.

They'll still beat Roma somehow lol

Still think we'll finish 2nd minimum.

Celebrate from now. Juve are champions already. The other clubs are too inconsistent to be win it. Napoli will fall sooner or later, just how it happens every year (just how Roma's 10 unbeaten streak came to an end last year).
