Maggie's best performance in years.
Glenn????????????????????? What is this???????
It was a bit of a non-event, this episode, but I was expecting that after the lightning fast start to the season. Yeah, it was a bit boring, but I think a breather episode like this was needed, too. My favorite thing was how the Alexandrians are starting to crack.
I didn't really find anything good about Maggie's performance, but the writing for her continues to be terrible. Her lover and the father of her unborn child is probably dead, but there was hardly any proper reaction from her. Weak acting, but also weak writing. She's lost her father, sister and now boyfriend yet it looks like none of that has any serious effect on her character. It's just awful, the worst part is that now that it was revealed she's pregnant, I'm afraid they might not kill her off.
Didn't like how they continued to be vague about the Glenn situation.
Also was surprised to see Rick just running for the gate after the last time we saw him he was trapped in the motor-home, getting surrounded by walkers. A bit cheap to bail him out of that situation without any explanation.
I'm expecting the next episode be about Daryl, Abraham and Sasha (and maybe close the Glenn file for good), since they didn't feature here and their situation is very much open. It could be good stuff.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Many saying that they are going to drag out the Glenn bit till Mid-Season finale
basically another Sophia from season 2 lmao.
It's really clever of them eventhough annoying as shit. But they know people going to turn every week praying Glenn is alive.
That final scene though. Was it the wall about to break?

Yeah, it was hard to make out. I guess it was, I don't know why else they would have showed it like that. I'm kinda expecting the wall to break at some point, but not in the next episode at least.

Btw, do you guys think the Wolves are now dealt with? Was the attack it? Kinda underwhelming if that was all.

Yea agreed there.
How the hell did Alexandria survive till now? They get panic attacks whenever they see 3-4 walkers.
Rick stuff was basically last season's Glenn-Nicholas where Glenn was shown to be pinned down by 4 walkers but somehow escaped.
But I guess Rick has plot armour and can escape from anywhere without 'explanation'

Nah. Think they have a leader who will plan another attack or something. Surely that can't be it.

Re: The Walking Dead III
The best thing about the Alexandrians cracking is that you don't know is trouble going to come from outside or inside. I thought Deanna might have been about to just open the gate at the end there or his son do something stupid. I'm enjoying this feeling that some of the Alexandrians cannot be trusted now that shit's hitting the fan.

WHERE WERE YOU BRUCE????
If I don't see Rick headshotting one of the Alexandrian. I'll be severely disappointed.

The episode was a good reminder that the writers have no idea how to write good dialogue. Please stick to action scenes, that's where they are at their best.

I don't know if it's because Andrew Lincoln is a great actor or because most of his dialogues are from the comics (kirkman) but whatever he says is always 10/10 compared to the other characters
Some of their dialogues are cringe lmao.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Things I care about:
Not the doctor-lady
Not Carl flailing his arms at another teenager because of another teenager
Not Rick getting laid
What I don't get is why they waste time with filler-esque sub-plots when you have far more interesting characters like Carol present in the episode. I get Daryl and the rest being outside but for those within the walls... Idk.

You answered your own question. They have to add fillers otherwise the show would be over in 3 seasons tops. And this is not exclusive to TWD. Pretty much every single TV show has fillers; even the mighty Breaking Bad.

Re: The Walking Dead III
It's not filler. It's character development. They need to invest screen time into these characters otherwise when they inevitably die no one will care.

It didn't feel like a filler to me, a needed slower episode. My only major disappointment was Maggie's continued crapness in everything.

Re: The Walking Dead III
I swear to god did they just put a fk load of make up on Deanna to make her look older or does she really look like an old corpse IRL?
Meh episode, we get it ppl of Alexandria are sheltered scrubs who hasnt witness/experienced the harsh reality of the new word. Move on and show Glenn escaping from the hoard of zombies already
@Realgunner, lol i swear to god i thought that doctor chick said all she wants to do is go in her house and read ONE PIECE...... had to rewind it and only to hear she wants to read in piece

Re: The Walking Dead III
Unlike most people this season has actually been the not-so-best for me. Sure lots of action, but I don't know somethings been missing. I'm just not as hooked in the drama and dialogue anymore. BTW that forced speech that Rick's blondie gave to her fellow Alexandrians It felt so off note and out of nowhere.
Best part of the episode was Maggie, best performance we've seen from her in a while.
The in loving memory Glenn doe plsssssssss
I missed the first minute of the episode, so how the hell did Rick escape his predicament with the bus and walkers???
Next episode is going to be about Daryl, Sacha, Abraham. From what I've seen it looks like Daryl winds up in some trouble, but lol can't imagine the writers putting another big character "at major risk" and putting a cliffer around it.

He was pretty close to Alexandria tbf so being a 6 season veteran he is, it wasn't that difficult to run all the way through.

Re: The Walking Dead III
loooooooooooooool
The fact they are delaying Glenn's outcome only means he is alive. They wouldn't waste this much time just to show he is dead (and if he is dead, there won't be any remains anyways like Laurie)
but then I also thought Sophia was alive in S2

Excited though. I now know what the finale will be. Season 7 is going to be nuts.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Man I wish Andrea was alive. I can accept Shane and Dale dying but Andrea shouldn't have died. It was a shitty way for her to go. She was tough as nails. I hated that whole arc of her getting played by the governor and becoming a damsel in distress.
