For a game so open, that's quite a remarkable achievement.halamadrid2 wrote:1 shot apiece all game

Game was only open because of terrible first touches and wayward passes.
I mean a 0-0 is not always terrible because teams would at least show quality in attacking/defending. This was awful in every department.
United showed glimpses though at least.

I slept in instead of watching it
In general have tried to avoid Man U. games this season. They really have been awful to watch.

But that was a truly hideous game.
watch the extended highlights at fullmatchesandshows, minute 87, with the replays and think again whether that's not a penalty.

Rojo had De Bruyne firmly tucked in his pocket today. Pellegrini was forced to switch him to the other side, and he still didn't do ish.

United did very well everywhere but in the final third. Give credit where it is due, they didnt allow Bony,,Sterling or KDB anywhere near their goal and coincidentally those 3 were the worst City players. Apart from Martial once every 30 mins United's attack was rubbish. If this was away from home this wouldve been an excellent game from them but at home this is unacceptable. City were missing their 2 best players too

Its solely down to one player not fulfilling his duties on the pitch.
What is rooney's job exactly in the team. He displaces our best (attacking) player from his natural position so that he in turn can play there and yet he goes everywhere but there during a match.
Every team will struggle if their main forward every fricking time decide to play as a midfielder or a defender. Thanks to rooney we are actually using something as absurd as a 4-6-0.
Rooney had 0 touches in the box in the first half.
If martial had played as a striker today we would have won the match. Its as simple as that. There were only one team in the 2nd half in fact.
So i dont think its unacceptable we didnt win this match. I am not unhappy either with the performance. It was a very good display. Solid. especially after the tough travel to Russia, If theres one thing I am unhappy about and which is outright unacceptable is van gaal relying on a finished player to deliver each time, even costing the team as regards to points.

the stats clearly tell you that in the first half, ManUtd created all the good chances, had 4 shots where as City had only 0...the ManCity team was pathetic really! Thanks to LVG that the whole EPL should learn from him about playing entertaining football.

that's because the combination of Fernando+Fernandinho is a creative black hole in midfield.
Also what the hell is the deal with Zabaleta. Why is Sagna starting ahead of him. Sagna offers nothing going forward.

I wish I was bitter with United's play. Name a more dire team to watch in PL? Even pool and Chelsea matches are entertaining in patches.
No other team plays this much safety ass football.

If you have actually watched the match in full (and not just the 1st half), you wouldnt be saying this.
Anyway Firenze already responded. Dont have anything more to add.
Would have hit everton last week for 4 or 5 on another day with that many chances been created. that too away from home. But yea, we are dire. right.
If you are saying this united side is more boring than Mou's chelsea then I dont have anything more to say to you, really.
