Re: Witcher 3-Part 3 ( Expansion Edition)
I guess they decided not to
Although i struggle to think how they could have fit him into the main story line though, at least Roche and Letho made sense.
I did think they will put him in the DLC though, still doesn't mean we won't get awesome characters from the past though as they have already suggested as such.

No confirms or denials, but people have been rumouring that for a while.
As well as Vilgefortz, the only thing that seems to have been leaked is that it has a lot of nods to the books. So the characters we might see might be from there.

Re: Witcher 3-Part 3 ( Expansion Edition)
1/3 of last book of the series was about Geralt and his buddies hanging out in Toussaint (region of DLC). The only interesting thing I noted while reading is that Toussaint dosnt have a regular army, it is protected by mercenary knights hired by the duchess
P.S Vilgeforz is dead, its done and dusted

In the books he is yes.... although in this world i'm not entirely sure that death means done and dusted tbh

Yeah, I think in the books Emhyr dies and Moovran becomes emperor.

Re: Witcher 3-Part 3 ( Expansion Edition)
Was obvious but still, confirmation....
http://www.gamepressure.com/e.asp?ID=419
Although i'm not sure how i feel about it, Geralt's story is done... he's old and deserves to live out his days with Triss.
Not sure how i feel about a Ciri game either even though the books were mainly about her anyway and the create your own Witcher like most RPGs do is a massive NO.
It's too early to talk about it, but it's not like we're forgetting about this brand. It wouldn't be fair to the fans. We've worked in this universe a dozen years now and I don't think it's going to be the end of it.

There are so many fantasy books that contain fantasy world and characters superior to Witcher universe, I hope they get turned into games

Ciri is a generic character. Wouldn't even play a DLC about her.
People like Geralt are never retired. When duty calls, he will be there. So a new story about him would be more than welcome.
but i can't see any Witcher 4 till at least 2020 tbh.

CDPR never fails to deliver
Looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 solely because it's coming out of their hands

Why lol.
No chance of that as they'd probably would have released a trailer by now if it was.

Re: Witcher 3-Part 3 ( Expansion Edition)
CD Projekt's CEO, Adam Kicinski on Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 and future plans:
Interview here if you understand Polish.
http://www.money.pl/gospodarka/tosieliczy/artykul/adam-kicinski-prezes-cd-projekt-mamy-plany,51,0,1974323.html
Mainly posted for the part in bold as i find it interesting but might as well post the rest too, wonder what the other ideas are.... for both Witcher 1 and 2 they released enhanced editions which are kind of like GOTY editions but in Witcher 2s case they added over 4 hours of quests to pad out the 3rd Act which is something ( as M99 has alluded to before) Witcher 3s third act could greatly benefit from.
This and the next year will be devoted to The Witcher. Apart from the second expansion we have some additional ideas. They should help us animate sales in 2016. The game is selling so well, that we are convinced there are still many people who will buy it if we promote it further.
Life after The Witcher exists. We've been working on Cyberpunk 2077 for a long time. It's a completely different reality, set in the future, with corporations and morally grey world. Just to be clear: We already have the release date for Cyberpunk 2077 planned, but we won't announce it until we are ready to start the marketing campaign. At the moment we're concentrating on The Witcher and don't want to distract users from that product, which we are still monetising.
We are going to continue targeting mature audiences with our AAA titles, but we are also working on smaller projects.
We didn't want to publish the budget of The Witcher 3 in case western players got scared thinking it's a low budget game.
I know we are on a business TV, so I am going to use the word "Client", however internally we don't use such nomenclature. They are gamers to us. We are trying to quickly fix any wrongs/problems and want players to talk to us as equals. And that's how we really look at things - I'm not saying it just because I'm in TV. We don't want to exploit gamers for their money (which is what many other gaming companies do) and that's why we don't want to become a part of a larger structure.
