Chelsea had the same issue with Cech and Courtois, I feel we made the right choice but selling Cech. I'd suggest Barca do a similar thing and sell Bravo.

Bravo has been solid, while MaTS makes mistake he's only young and will hardly improve if he's playing every 2-3 weeks. I also don't agree that Bravo is a better shot stopper mostly to me on the same level, MaTS with more potential.

I feel we need to act quick I feel that pos Pep will come in for him like Thiago. We don't want to repeat the same mistake.

It's an easy decision. Keep TS

I see rumblings about us going in for Gundogan, opinions?

I always said that I think we should wait to see how he responds to the long term injury issues that he's had, and we've waited, and he's done very well. I think it's time that we go in for him now. I would be willing to pay a pretty penny, too. If we can't get Veratti (and we can't), Gundogan is, IMO, the next best thing.

if we get gundogan i guess we wouldn't get a forward.. rafinha / munir / halilovic as backups forwards
iniesta starts getting less minutes due to age
sergi roberto will be a backup.. to i guess every position

I think if we were gonna get Gundogan, we should of got him instead of Turan last summer. Now that we have Turan, it just doesn't make allot of sense as we would have too many midfielders (Even though I would of liked Gundogan over Turan, personally)

Here is how our midfield will likely be shaped next season

Rakitic--Iniesta

Bought back/end loan and likely going back out:
D. Suarez (might get sold for profit), Halilovic (1 year loan to Sporting Gijon again)

That leaves us with Turan, Rafinha, Samper, and Sergi as our back ups just like this season. Halilovic is likely never gonna actually play for us if I had to guess. And it's been rumored we are deff bringing back D.Suarez but if he doesn't impress Lucho during the summer that we will sell him (I think we are just trying to make profit on him, as we have Sergi and Rafinha who are similar mold players already).

If any position needs to be strengthened it's perhaps CDM, as Samper hasn't yet proved he can back up Busq's on a regular but maybe another year with the first team will help him develop.

I seriously can't stand Turan with Barcelona, LOL. I just don't see the point of him being on our squad with Rafinha already here as they are pretty much same players. Gundogan I think would be a great addition to our midfield, I think he would be awesome but I think it would only work if we got rid of one of our already existing mids to make room for him, as I don't think we are selling Rakatic/Iniesta/Rafinha/Sergi/Turan any time soon I would go ahead and say that the rumor is BS

Why don't we lure Weigl instead as long as he is cheap. Also why not offload the sorry excuse of CBs we have and buy someone little bit decent. Our defence is outright pathetic need to look at that if u ask me

I think Dortmund would ask for a good chunk for Weigl, plus not sure he would want to lose his starting spot at Dortmund to be a back up and only play once a moon with us. But yea he seems like an awesome CDM; just hard to attract players since everyone knows Busq is gonna be out every game starter unless he's injured/suspended.

So far these are our rumors that I've come across over the past month...

Mathieu and Vermalean will be sold, replaced with 1 CB (Laporte is a rumor, but recently Barca apparently said Laporte is out as a target for us because he's going to City)

Denis Suarez will be purchased back from Villarreal for 3M, but it does not mean he is coming back to play for us. He will participate in the pre-season and if he doesn't impress Lucho, then we will sell him away. (honestly, I think they are just trying to flip a profit on this dude)

Alen Halilovic will be sent out on loan again; possibly to Sporting Gijon again if they avoid relegation

Indipendiente 16 year old wonder kid Lucas Patanelli is heavily linked to have signed a deal with Barcelona. No official word

Bartra will be allowed to leave if he wishes

We are in the market for a back up left back; options I've read are Angelino from Man City and Adrian Marin from Villarreal

Hector Bellerin is a future target (I expect to see him linked with us until the player finally retires tbh, lol)

We need to start a #FreeVerratti campaign.

We need a really good midfielder. Not just a Turan type workhorse.

Rakitic, Turan, Rafinha, Sergi Roberto are all workhorses. Maybe Rakitic can be more technical, but his position, in that case, is in AM more than CM.

We need a solid CM who can advance the ball and complement Iniesta. Gundogan? Or can Denis Suarez or Halilovic be groomed? I doubt if Enrique will for the latter 2 since they don't fit his mould of young hard working players who put in a shift. Let's see.

Also, Munir & Sandro don't really cut it as MSN's understudy. Tough to buy for this position anyway due to lack of minutes MSN give away. Still, someone is needed to rest MSN once in a while.

And we definitely need a CB. High time someone young came in who can last a good amount of time (like what Pep did with Pique).

we need a little of everything.
in priority, i believe we need:
1) a young potential leftback
2) a young forward OR a veteren willing to accept the bench
3) new young cb to replace our aging centerbacks (masche/mathieu)
4) maybe a new CM to add some more creatiivity but it'll come at the cost of one or two of our youth players (sergi roberto / rafina / halilovic/ samper)
5) bellerin or some other rightback to replace dani alves

get rid of all the deadweights : douglas / adriano / verm / mathieu / sandro / bartra / song

only if we can get a good offer sell Bravo, Turan, Dani Alves (only if China comes with big bucks and he's willing to accept that)

Gundugan is rumored to have already signed for City and will be announced as soon as the season ends. So scratch him off the list

Hummels most likely on his way out this summer with his destination being either us or BM.

Don't see him coming to us instead of BM tbh.

His father recently said City is an option too.

Apparently we are monitoring allot of different goal keepers. Perhaps it means we are preparing for Ter Stegen to leave since he's fed up with his playing time (I don't blame him)

Yep, read Kasper Schmeichel could be main option. Not too sure about that

My personal favourite course of events would be we get rid of bitchy ter Stegen, get De Gea as main option and make Bravo the sidekick

I would try to keep Ter Stegen honestly. Bravo won't accept the Pinto role, and that's fine. We need to build for the future.

Will be silly if we have Bravo for 2 years only to wonder what to do next.

If they were smart, they would sell Bravo and let Ter Stegen start La Liga + UCL and have Masip or some new/older vet willing to be back up play the Copa games (ala Pinto)

Selling Ter Stegen to keep Bravo just makes no sense.

DDG is only 1,5 older and hes absolutely world class. If we could snatch him and offload TS it'd be transfer of teh window. >Experienced Bravo as the 2nd keeper.

Problem is that as long as LE is here he will want Bravo.

Bravo has been ridiculously solid for us and it would be unfair to sell him, but he:'s on the wrong side of 30 and mats KS the future.

losing MaTS would just complicate things, adds unnecessary problems to our already struggling board when it comes to getting the right people
