Re: The Official Winter Transfer Rumours Thread
Wenger on Elneny: "Unfortunately I cannot say anything about this player because nothing has been concluded.”
Also said he can't rule out Debuchy leaving (has been fit but left out last two squads) and that he'll be "very busy" during January.

kicker says you're after Xhaka.
No way that happens in January though. I read about a release clause coming into effect 2017...

18 months left on his current deal but since he joined for €40m I imagine he'd be relatively expensive.

Pretty sure we will sign a striker and a GK, now that Arsene said he wants midfield reinforcements. #Bingo

You are misreading his comments.
" I'll be busy" nothing there about Arsenal being busy but Arsene personally.
Wenger watching every film he missed in 2015 confirmed.

Was just reading that sometime back. Seems a typical signing, in terms of character and attitude.

Seriously insightful piece on Elneny.Probably the only one that's not been copied from Wiki.
BTW,there's an issue regarding Elneny's visa.

Re: The Official Winter Transfer Rumours Thread
I believe this transfer will somehow be done since the Ornacle,JW & John Cross all have said this transfer is on.Further,AW himself said something along these lines.
Now that Elneny is in the bag, where should we strengthen? One more midfielder & maybe,a striker?
AW will probably sign Pato & Rabiot on loan & then sign Kokorin on a free transfer a la Chamakh.

Re: The Official Winter Transfer Rumours Thread
From a purely rational point of view, and all biases and hatred apart, how would you lads feel about Fabregas in the summer?
It's widely believed that we'd let Arteta, Flamini and Rosicky move on. Santi is not getting any younger. Our injury records aren't improving.
Fabregas doesn't play in those positions and is definitely a liability defensively.
However, Wenger is the only manager who managed to get the best out of him. We do need a viable back-up for Özil. Ramsey and Wilshere are both better off in the B2B role. Coquelin (/Chambers/Elneny?) cover the other deeper role. Ox is just best kept on the wing - he has a long way to go.

Cesc is still a top player, and would be a great back up to Ozil. I dont hate Cesc and never did.
