We noted several weeks back that Rey Mysterio could possibly be headed back to WWE as he put feelers out and then that was confirmed by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter but it was noted that WWE wasn’t too interested.

Word is that Vince McMahon is a lot more resistant to Rey returning than Triple H is. However, it was Vince who didn’t want to let go of Rey in the first place. Rey is still trying to get on WWE’s good side in hopes of a return.

Because Rey wants to return due to Lucha Underground’s future being up in the air, Vince does not want talents to think they can come and go when other non-WWE plans don’t work out. Vince reportedly feels they could send a message to other top stars that want to leave, showing them that the “grass isn’t always greener on the other side.”

Triple H and Vince both know WWE needs a Mexican Superstar right now and Triple H is more open to bringing Rey back for that reason. It could be several months before they make a decision on whether or not they want to bring him back but perhaps he could be a nice addition to WrestleMania 32 in Texas.

How about they create a new latino star? It's amazing how much the WWE fails in creating non-white stars, let alone any stars. Who was the last decent black guy they had ? Booker T ? The last decent English guy ? i can only think of William Regal lol. And what happened to the times when we had decent Japanese wrestlers? hell we dont even have a decent Canadian wrestler and that's their second biggest market after the US.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are Canadian. They dropped the ball with Barrett, hopefully they don't do the same with Neville. Apollo Crews on NXT can be their big black wrestling star. He has the same look as Bobby Lashley but has 100x better wrestling skills.

Neville is a great wrestler. Unfortunately he is perhaps the worst mic worker in the roster. Can't see him climbing up unless he works with a manager.

A New Day is getting really popular. So there is that for now.

Going by the current WWE logic, owens and zayn will never be at the level of Bret Heart or Jericho, let alone be in the main event. They will be just...there. Neville will probably get the Drew McIntyre treatment, or at best he'll be another Barret (so much wasted potential ffs). I haven't seen Appolo but i hope he gets somewhere.

There were reports that John Cena was injured at the WWE live event on Friday night during a match with Kevin Owens. While it does appear he was hurt, PWInsider.com reports that Cena appeared to be fine backstage according to others in the building. It's being said that the injury wasn't serious and Cena isn't expected to miss any time as a result of the injury.

As noted, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman will face Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and a mystery partner of their choosing at this month’s WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view.

In what could be a spoiler, multiple readers have e-mailed and tweeted us the following image that reportedly was briefly seen on the WWE website today. It shows NXT Superstar Baron Corbin as the mystery partner. Corbin has been one of the names expected for a call-up. This should be taken as a rumor until we can confirm the photo is real.

Corbin lol, guy just has height going for him. He's like 6'8 but has what is the definition of a bang average build. If he's supposed to be able to overcome Strowman just cause he's on eye level then just lol.

I said WWE would end up going for the white vs black sheep angle soon as I seen his mask lol, but Rowan if the injury timeline is right should still be out of action for 1-2 months at least so I reckon they'll have to use somebody else.

If they do go down that route, I just hope they take the obvious but only story route that works I.E him betraying Ambrose-Reigns and rejoining Bray. Because he's the opposite of a face in every way possible, and then they can end the feud without having the golden child and his sidekick lose clean.

WWE's website has a new poll asking fans if Seth Rollins is as good as Triple H was in his prime. With almost 1000 votes, 80% have voted, "No, he still has miles to go before he can be compared to Triple H." The rest voted, "Yes, Rollins has proven he is on The Game's legendary level." There is no option for Rollins being better than Triple H.

A new gimmick despite barely being given a chance at his current one. hmm

Bryan Alvarez noted of F4Wonline.com noted this week that Bo Dallas is in line for a new gimmick. No other details are available yet but Bo could be receiving a character change soon.

No word yet if this is referring to the slight changes we saw to Bo’s character on last Thursday’s WWE SmackDown. After debuting a new finisher and attacking R-Truth following their match, Bo cut a promo and said he’s tried to help inspire people for so long but they’ve turned him into a joke. He thought what he did to Truth was “really funny” and said he Bo-lieves he will be a lot more “humorous” in the future.
