Police were called after a fan incident with Roman Reigns at last night’s WWE live event in Victoria, British Columbia. A fan threw a replica Money In the Bank briefcase into the ring, hitting Reigns in the back of the head.

Reigns was stunned by the assault and sat in the corner for a few minutes to regain composure while his opponent Bray Wyatt stalled. WWE security and the referee worked to have the fan removed from the arena.

The match did finish.

We’ve noted how there have been rumors of Adam Rose bringing back the Leo Kruger gimmick. Rose furthered speculation on a character change by debuting a “Beef Mode” tag team with Brad Maddox at WWE live events.

Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com recently noted that it’s “stand by” on Rose as there are a few stories going around on what’s happening with him. It looks like the Adam Rose gimmick really won’t last much longer.

Haven't seen Goatdow in months ffs. He was well and truly buried. Was the most over superstar on RAW for 8 months. Next logical step, give him a push. Instead let's pair him up with Curtis Axel and have him job to the ascension on superstars.

Damien Sandow is trending worldwide on Twitter today as today is Sandow Appreciation Day, which was led by WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.

Nah, PTP and Brodus Clay aren't good enough to be main eventers. Sandow on the other hand has potential to be a legit main eventer. He's entertaining, has charisma, has the mic skills and is far superior to the likes of Reigns and Rollins. Bryan was a comedy act too a few years ago, got over and deservedly got a main event push. The fact that they turned shit into gold and got over is a testament to their ability.

Alex Riley was one of the most over guys on RAW at one point, but the moment he stopped feuding with Miz he lost relevance.

It's a similar case here. Sandow benefited from a good tag-team/feud with Miz. People found him funny. But where could he go after his stuff with Miz ended with that comedy gimmick?

And when you've been shoehorned into a comedy role it's very tough to turn that around and get over with a serious gimmick because fans don't forget that easily. If Sandow were to come out now and try and be serious, all I'd be doing is wondering when he'll stick copying his opponent like he used to. Doesn't matter what skills he has.

Riley was only ever over the moment he turned on The Miz, while Sandow was over while he was Miz's sidekick and still technically a heel. It's not just about being over though. I mean Fandango was over for 2 weeks, doesn't mean he deserves a push. It's that Sandow has every quality to succeed in the main event scene. He's shown in the past he's got the mic skills, he's entertaining and charismatic. He's basically got every trait a main eventer should have. Plus it's not as if he's purely been a career comedy act. He won the MITB and had a good match with Cena, so at least at one point the WWE did treat him seriously. Bryan was a comedy act with Kane, but everyone knew he had potential to be a main eventer and it helped him get over. He wouldn't have gotten over purely based on in his ring ability. Fortunately Bryan got a deserved main event push. For Sandow? If not a main event push, then at the very least he could have won the Andre the giant thing or the IC title. In terms of character, well what did Bryan do? He just became more serious. What did Cena do when he went from being a midcard rapper to a main event superstar? Became more serious. A lot of the times gimmicks are used in the midcard to simply get over. Sandow could just use parts of his old gimmicks.

So Sandow won MITB and feuded with Cena. Did he get over with the crowd when he had the opportunity to be his so-called man event level skills to the test? No, he didn't. Nobody cared that he had the briefcase.

Credit where its due, he did well with the gimmick he got. But how do you take a stunt-double comedy character and "make him more serious"? You can't without changing the character entirely.

Bryan and Cena aren't examples of comedy characters turning serious because they were never comedy characters. Bryan had even won the World Heavyweight Championship before doing the Team Hell No stuff, and Cena as a rapper was still having feuds with Undertaker and Brock Lesnar.

I'd say Bryan and Sandow were at a similar level as MITB holders. Bryan said he only won the title because Mark Henry was injury prone. He was then booked as a cowardly heel and lost the title in 18 seconds at WM. Both were upper midcarders/WHC material during that period.

Also Bryan was in team hell no doing the comedy stuff when he got over properly, which was back in May/June 2013. He then became a more serious character starting with his feud against Cena. Which is the exact same thing Sandow would do, except he could use some of his old catchphrases, occasionally mimic people etc. In terms of Cena, I just meant sometimes a lot of people use a gimmick to get over in the midcard, then tone it down as they start to main event.

Anyway speaking of characters, guys like Rollins and Reigns have 0 character and suck on the mic, yet they get to main event. While Sandow has legit mic skills, has charisma and is entertaining etc and is stuck jobbing on superstars. Sandow with his ability would do so much better than Rollins as the authority's poster boy champion imo.
