Pod was boss when he was squiring for Tyrion. I think Brienne's averageness has rubbed off on Podrick.

Brienne is what a true knight should be, always fighting for the good cause.

It's no surprise that people don't like her after she smashed that creep The Hound.

Honestly her arc this season has bored me but it has not made her earn so much hate that I want to see her flayed alive.

She is a good person, very loyal and a damn good fighter who can beat 90% all males on Westeros and beat their ass. Everything a knight should be basically as urban said.

That's the dedication of a true knight which a Ramsay fan would naturally not understand.

Oh no I understand it. Doesn't mean I find a run of the mill honourable knight with no personality following a crappy order from a dead person entertaining though

That's loyalty. Catelyn's death did not break her vow. She knows Sansa is in danger even when Sansa did not know it herself. It turns out she was right and Sansa was the idiot now that Sansa is getting raped every night. She did not quickly walk away, Littlefinger sent like 20 knights after her and now is still waiting on the wings to save a girl that gets raped daily. What a scrub.

Did not find her arc entertaining this season either but she is getting unwarranted hate.

She's not very smart or witty. Which is why I don't like her much. She's very narrow minded, always thinking that everything is black and white (good or bad).

The Hound was an infinitely more interesting character. In a show of mostly grey character's she's very much white. It's boring.

Thank god her screentime has been reduced to like 10 minutes so far this season, but yeah, totally see her killing Stannis next week. I feel like the most recent episode was a way for us to more easily swallow the fact too.

All of her major actions have been shoehorned in by the showrunners rather than follow the actual canonical story

it just reeks of them wanting to have a strong female character just because smh

Again, her blind loyalty doesn't interest me. Never said she was a morally bad character or a stupid one. I just find her very boring and her arc doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Brienne is just boring. Doesn't make her a bad person. Just a boring one. Imo getting flayed alive for being boring is a bit ott

But isnt Brienne the one who is supposed to kill Stannis (in an ideal world) ? She was accused of killing Renley when she herself saw the shadow child of Stannis kill him. Perhaps she didnt suffer as a result of any of those accusations. (Once again thats lazy writing, the fact that she got virtually unscathed from that)  

But even then, her arc basically began from that very point, as a revenge saga. So i dont think it will be out of line if she kills stannis or at least make valiant attempt.

But I personally dont have a problem with that though. She is not irritating as some other characters. She is harmless and her part most often comes as a much needed dose of goodness and positivity in the show. So,.. yea I but I understand what some of you are saying. She is not witty and her lines are more or less same. But still she is not the most boring character in the show, at least not for me.

Brienne isn't meant to be witty and it's actually a good thing that this isn't one of her traits , because it makes room for her more obvious traits to shine , like her loyalty , her ideals for a what a knight is supposed to be , how she had to learn from the oppresive and cruel world around her , her capacity to adapt , or how she went in conflict with her ideals with what Jaime told her e.t.c , she's not a hollow character , rather straightforward so i can see why some find her boring and i personally think that's quite ok. Otherwise she wouldn't be Brienne. I don't really agree with the 'hate' towards her , but really whatever. I always hated Catelyn with a passion and didn't actually like Theon untill he begun betraying the Starks and all the rest that came in his arc , he made the story that much better.. everybody got his picks . And i still hate Catelyn anyway.

One thing i find funny doe , is that people expect Brienne to kill Stannis . Don't take this personally , you just reminded me to talk about this because you said so in your post , but , lol
Everyone who expects Brienne to off Stannis should remind themselves what kind of show they are watching all this time

inb4 someone says i know what happens and i should gtfo with my 'guesses' . I never did this here , i will never and i deeply respect and understand that you want such things out of this thread. Word. With all that said , her storyline is also very very different from the books anyway . I am on the same page on this one as you guys are .

Moving on , the show i am watching , it's more likely Brienne gets killed by Ramsey or his 20 good men , or even Stannis burning her than her actually killing Stannis and doing what she said she would do. .

You can see where this is going...
