I've already spread my thoughts around the internet, so I'll just collect them here into one post.

First thing to note is that Battlefront is a very pretty game, probably the best looking shooter on the PS4 and XBO so far, it also performs well, so there's no need to worry about the framerate dropping down to the 20's like certain games which will remain unmentioned.

The game itself is casual, hella casual. It's so damn simplified, there's no unlocks on guns, no scopes, no attachments, no prone, etc, in the time I played i was able to unlock nearly every item ( dat Jump Pack )

Playing Battlefront feels like being transported back to the pre-PS360 shooter era, when shooters weren't so cluttered with all the attachments and items, but I'm not sure if the core shooter fans will appreciate it, they'll probably migrate back to their COD's, Battlefields and Halos before the month is out, leaving the game to be carried by the casual adult players and young kids who are playing Battlefront as their very first FPS. Not that it's a bad thing, the game will sell shitloads because of it, and may actually be the reason for no in game voice chat, since that's probably what EA and DICE expect the main demographic for the game to be.

I've seen reviewers and streamers who were playing Battlefront yesterday saying that it was is like Titanfall, fun to play but little content, and I can see where their coming from, they have similar map and game mode counts, but Titanfall has all those attachments and weapon mods. The difference between the two games is that Battlefront is way more casual friendly, so it will have much larger playerbase.

Overall, Battlefront is a good game, it's something you can pick up for 5 mins and then drop to go and play something else and it will leave satisfied, but I'm not sure if I'm going to buy, I'm not into the old school shooters anymore, the 10 hours I've played will do it for me. When the game gets added to the EA Access Vault I 'll may load it up again to play around with it now and then.

I give Battlefront 8/10, not the American 8/10, which is codename for average, but the one the rest of us civilized people use
