Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
England by no means performing strongly, but Italy bottling it massively.
The way PL teams keep losing, Serie A is missing a penalty without GK here.

M99 no need for a jinx, Bayern are justifiably the favorite, as shown in the betting odds:

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
This week Serie A has a small lead over EPL because of the division of the 2 points by 6 instead of 8, I think. It has to be said, that Serie A got the worst draw in the EL, though. No Midtjylland for a Serie A club. Galatasary, Tottenham and Villareal.

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
Lazio imo will qualify, Fiorentina and spurs is a competition between who can bench most starters so who knows.
Crappoli are starting to get ideas above their station and think they can win a league title so they're using their shite depth in EL now.

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
Italy has 0 teams in it now and England 1 each on both the EL and CL. Will England be able to make up their 3 remainder points to be even with Serie A?

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
They could depending on the draws. Then next year is a wildcard. Who knows who england will be sending to these comps and how any of the teams will look.
From Serie it'll be Juve, Napoli and Roma for CL so thats an improvement over this year.
Inter, Fiore and Milan for EL. No Lazio anywhere is a good thing.

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
Well, Germany will have Bayern and Dortmund in the CL, which is good. Who'll show up in the remaining spaces is anybody's guess atm... Take your pick out of Hertha (45 points atm), Gladbach (42), Schalke (41), Mainz (40), Leverkusen (39) and Wolfsburg (37)...

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
EL is where its at next year anyway, City, United, Milan, Inter, Lyon Schalke, Wolfsburg/Leverkusen, Sevilla, Bilbao, etc
Would rather watch that than see Bayern, Barca and Real have a laugh to semis every season.
Plus we get to see what Pep does against teams like Metalist Kharkhiv who'll just break the shit out of his players and nick it with crashbang football

If Hertha end in the 4th place, they will never reach the CL, but go directly to the EL.

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
Italian teams really need to perform exceptionally well next season in European Competition if they want to reduce the difference in points and potentially earn back the 4th spot in the 2017-18 season. On paper it seems like Italy might have a nudge over England with their best teams qualifying to UCL, and EL ( Juve, Napoli, Roma, Inter, Fiorentina). As for England you've got Leicester City, Tottenham, West Ham, Arsenal, and Man City, but only time will tell!!

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
15-16 CL and EL QF teams
6 Spanish
3 German (freshness edge for Europe with less domestic games)
2 English
1 French
0 Italian
Spanish domination continues. And even the only Spanish team that didn't get through was eliminated by a Spanish team.

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
Wouldn't next season's coefficiency results determine 2018-19 places?
This year determines for 2017-18, amirite?
This year determines for 2017-18, amirite?

I always get confused by this part.
Yes, this year determines places for 2017/18.
But of course that affects the value of league positions in 16/17
Because if England only had 2+1 CL participants in 2017/18 making 4th in 16/17 wouldn#t suffice anymore

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
I remembering discussing this in detail sometime before
Spanish League I was actually expecting for BL also to dominate in Europe over the years and they are doing it. But matching the La Liga dominance is almost impossible for next two seasons at least.

Re: UEFA Coefficient development for the next seasons
England got a pretty bad draw with Paris and Dortmund. So it's unlikely they will make up the entire 4 point difference. This makes next season do or die for the 4th spot.
