why UEFA coefficient system (still) sucks
Benfica has amassed approximately the same amount of coefficient points as Juventus has.
Juventus won a very tough group consisting of teams like Chelsea and Shakthar Donetsk.
Benfica on the other failed to advance from a group consisting teams like Barcelona and Celtic. The very same Celtic who finished ahead of Benfica lost 5-0 on agg. to Juventus in the next round.
Benfica coefficient points for this season: 25.250
Juventus coefficient points for this season: 25.883
To put this into perspective Barcelona who made the semifinals only amassed 2 more points than Benfica.
Is this really fair?
I think it's time for Uefa to stop allowing teams who finish 3rd in CL groupstage entering the Europa League, or teams should get less points for advancing through the rounds in EL.
It just doesn't make any sense how a team who can't even advance past an easy group in CL can amass the same amount of points as a team who made the quarterfinals undefeated.

THe only thing that's unfair imo is the fact that the 3rd place CL teams who get a 2nd chance in the EL to make points still get the 4 bonus points for participating in the CL group stages.
But hey, it's really no that big of a problem. At the end of the day it rewards the teams/countires who take the EL serious.
