Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
We had all the players we needed to win, but we lost tactically. If you press the 3-4-3 high up as a team, you will outnumber the midfield and isolate the striker. The three center-backs will have trouble finding passes to midfield, because the midfield is being pressed tightly. We actually played better in the 2nd half with 10 men, because we were forced to deploy another system, one that United weren't tactically prepared to counter, so we found more space.
I really hope this performance encourages Rodgers to use other formations than just the 3-4-3 if it's not working, because the signs are starting to be there that teams are learning to play against it. First it was Sean Dyche and now Van Gaal who clearly countered the 3-4-3 with intention and success.

Hard to tell if he did when we went down to 10 men 38 seconds after the re-start. After that it was obviously going to change.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
We shifted to a back four of
Can - Skrtel - Sahko - Moreno
---------Gerrard
------Hendo - Allen
Sterling -------------Cou
---------Sturridge
Packign that midfield to you know, combat the domination we faced in the middle, yes it only lasted 45 seconds, but Rodgers changed his plan tactically.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
At that point of time Hendo drifted out wide, Rodgers isn't that much of an idiot, Can's positioning and the distance between Shako and Skrtel gives it away, Gerrard dropping deep between them.
Rodgers did his job, Gerrard let us down.

We shifted to a back four of
Can - Skrtel - Sahko - Moreno

------Hendo - Allen
-----------Cou
---Sterling
---------Sturridge
Hard to grasp the front 3, as they didn't really set in, but the back was obvious.
Rodgers switched to a diamond against Swansea and it would make sense he switched to the above formation.
We defo moved away from a back 3.

So long as we're on random pics of 20 seconds of game play.

LOL go watch the second half, we stuck with a back four, FML did you even watch the game, i can get you 30 snippets from all times during that 2nd half and they'd show a back 4.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
I'm not blaming Rodgers for this game.
But we were pathetic with AND without Gerrard.
Gerrard was an idiot, and that was a terrible tackle. He let the emotion override him, and well, there's not much else we can do but support him.
He's one of the key factors why we didn't win the game. He's tried to take all the blame, and well, he deserves a lot of criticism but he's not THE reason we lost the game.
It doesn't take half a game of football to finally realise that United were bullying us in midfield. It was 5v2 for almost half the game ffs. We could hardly get a sniff at the ball, we couldn't press them because it was well, like piggy in the middle in training.

Re: Liverpool v Manchester United
Though Rodgers changed his tactics within 30 mins, and it saw us actually create chances in the last 15.
Stop pretending he did nothing.
Gerrard is the reason we lost, football is a game of two halves, we *bleep* the first, Gerrard *bleep* the second, we played with 10 men and managed a 1-1 scoreline second half, we could of drawn or won that game if we had 11.

I'm still too upset to really analyze the game. Just sad really. I will say that Gerrard is not the only reason we lost, but his actions took us out of the game. Selfish and idiotic. Very upsetting.

0-2 or 1-2 to the Mancs.
We'll go down to ten men early on and they'll capitalize.
Meh, lucky guess.

Any footage of Skrtels stamp not in *bleep* slow mo, *bleep* sakes everything looks 100 times as bad in slow mo.
Like i said with the costa stamp, it shouldn't even be punished, if we had a live video of what happened maybe we can then determine if he could of pulled out, DDG was sliding towards him, makes it even harder to pull out, will need proper footage not some shitty slow mo which distorts the viewers mind.

Stop it. Stop defending the indefensible. It's embarrassing.
Skrtel will get banned as he should, end of story.

*bleep* off.
All i asked for was a non slow mo footage of it, slow mo can make anything look like it was done with intent. Now *bleep* off.
