I just aint seeing it.
I get what you guys are saying and I agree.
However, nobody on the Mavs can guard anyone. Howard is going to have his way inside. You dont need any moves at all to score on Chandler, Amare and Dirk. None are good post defenders.
Nobody can stop Ellis, but I think Ariza will do a better job than Parsons (or anyone) would do on Harden. Not even Harden can crumble in this situation, there is nobody defending him.
The X factor is Rondo. If playoff Rondo suddenly appears then I thinkits a different story all together, but I just aint seeing it this year.

Harsh on Chandler Dani, i have seen him limit really good post scorers like Gasol for example.
I see what you're saying though, tbh i see major limitations for both sides. One things for sure either team is going home in the 2nd round

Not a fan of his I have to admit. Dont think he commits to defend as he should because he fancies himself as a better offensive player than he is.

Got the same as Dani.
I think Houston gets out of the first round. Last year Portland was a very bad matchup for them. Mathews ate Hardens lunch. Can't see anyone on Dallas defending him that well.
That said I can't underestimate the ability of playoff Harden to fold like some creased khakis(the anti Rondo).

The offence part is true.
I do think he's a good post defender though, if this was DeAndre Jordan i'd agree who is the biggest myth going.
He's an awful pick and roll defender, post defender and constantly loses people off the ball but should be DPOTY apparently.

How to get DPOTY:
Step 1: get rebounds
Step 2: Be mad at teammates when you don't get their rebounds.
Step 3: profit

Apparently so
Anyway it seems Bird has had enough of Hibbert
Anyway it seems Bird has had enough of Hibbert
Bird said he'd like to change the Pacers offensive style: play smaller, faster, score more points. Talked to Vogel about playing PG at 4
Bird on Hibbert: "Whatever he does, he does. We'll assume he's going to come back." If he does, Pacers still want to play different style
Does new scheme mean Roy Hibbert will be benched, Vogel said: "Possibly."
"Roy's role will be diminished."

RE Parsons : Maybe yeah he can defend the post some, but Harden wont spend any time there. I dont see anyone stopping him getting to the basket.
About the Pacers. I dunno...playing up tempo is fine, but someone has to defend the rim no matter what. Hibbert doesnt have much of a role on on offence so I dont really get what changes for him.

Oh no your right, my bad. Tyson Chandler defence on Howard. I dunno man...I dont think Chandler has the strength in the 1 v 1. Plus
I can see Howard getting alot of deep post catches and offensive rebounds because Chandler's real strength is defensive rotations and rim protection. He is going to be so busy trying to block the path of Harden, Howard will be left alone because nobody else on the roster plays any defence.

I mean, I can picture Chandler playing good D on Pau because he isnt physical and wont push him all that much. Chandler can defend skill guys, but those physical kinds give him problems.
Itāsthat special time of year when the 2014-2015 NBA Playoffs arrive andteams are ready to begin their journey towards achieving the endgoal: the NBA Championship. With an unpredictable and exhilaratingend to the regular season, we saw multiple teams fighting for theirplayoff lives en route to setting up the final seeding. Naturally, here at 2K we were excited to see what results NBA 2K15 yielded oncethe matchups were locked. Whoās winning it all according to themost realistic basketball simulation out there? Find out right herein our official NBA 2K15 playoff simulation.
Seeding proved important as almost all the top seeds advanced on in our sim āwith two first round exceptions. The 6thseed Spurs knocked out the Clippers in a heated 7-game series and Washington pulled off an upset over Toronto. The Warriors (4-1),Blazers (4-2), Rockets (4-1), Hawks (4-2), Cavs (4-1) and Chicago(4-0) all moved into the conference semi-finals in their respectiveseries.
Thesecond round proved why the top 8 teams were still in the big dancefor a reason. The Warriors and Blazers battled it out in a closeseries with Golden State topping Portland 4-2. Portlandās lack ofdefense in the backcourt and recent injuries were ultimately thedifference as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson shined throughout. Thebattle of Texas raged on as the Rockets took on the Spurs. Despitethe continued MVP level of play from James Harden, the Spurs provedwhy they are the defending champions, stealing yet another Game 7 onthe road to advance on to the Western Conference Finals.
Meanwhilein the East, the Hawks dominated the Wizards 4-2 in the series, showcasing the many reasons why they earned the #1 seed in the East. The Cavs also gelled in their series, defeating the Bulls 4-1. Manythought if Cleveland peaked at the right time, their chemistry couldmake them a dangerous opponent, favorites even, to contend for theNBA championship.
heWestern Conference Finals brought us the narrative of old vs new asthe defending champions took on the red hot Warriors. While manypredicted this series to go in the Spursā favor, it was theWarriors playing flawless basketball as Golden State defeatedincumbent champion San Antonio 4-3. Despite a fighting effort by theSpurs, the Warriors battled their way through four close games, edging out San Antonio each time and showing the maturation processthe team has experienced to earn the #1 seed in the West.
TheEast also came down to the best two teams in the conference with theHawks taking on the Cavs. Much like Golden State out West, the Cavswere red hot and brought their A-game to A Town. The amazing play ofLeBron and teammate Kyrie Irving made the offense of the Cavs anunstoppable force. The Hawks ultimately would fall to the defensiveefforts of the Cavs, and Cleveland proved why having the best playeron the planet matters.
Game1 provided a close game as the Warriors defeated the Cavs by one,117-116. Led by Curry (32 points) and Klay (30) points, Golden Statewas poised in their NBA Finals debut. LeBron (26/12/6) and Kyrie (36)nearly led their team to the game 1 victory, but ultimately, StephenCurry sealed this one with a huge shot in the clutch.
Game2 was all Warriors as the bench was too much for the Cavs. GoldenState went up 2-0 in the series, winning the game 109-99 behind theimpressive bench-play and Harrison Barnesā 22-point performance
Returningto Cleveland, LeBronās 36-point triple-double led the Cavs backinto the series with a 110-103 victory over the Warriors. Clevelandāsmomentum was short lived however, as the Warriors edged out a veryclose game 4 116-112 behind Curryās 32 points. Klay was too hotdown the stretch, dropping 20 points (15 in the 4thquarter), showcasing an all-time great Finals scoring performancereminiscent of what many fans were enamored by during the regularseason.
Clevelandtook Game 5, 125-120, still trailing the series 3-2 however. DespiteCurryās huge 43 point performance, LeBronās 44-points bestedCurry and the Warriors on this night.
The Warriors wouldultimately respond behind Stephen Curryās 46 point performance ingame 6 en route to the NBA Championship, defeating the Cavs 113-104with backcourt star Steph Curry earning Finals MVP. This seriesshowcased two of the best teams in basketball, and it did notdisappoint. NBA 2K15ās simulation of this wild road only proved onething ā weāre in for a wild ride this NBA playoffs.
Whatdid you think? Is Golden State tough enough to win it all? If NBA2K15 has anything to say, they are called the Warriors for a reasonand will hoist up the most coveted prize in all sports when itāsall said and doneā¦

Wouldn't I give an arm and a leg for the playoffs to unfold just like that.
Anyways, in the first round I have
Warriors in 5
Spurs in 6
Houston in 7
Memphis in 6 (too many injuries for the Blazers otherwise I would pick them here).
Cavs in 4
Chicago in 5
Atlanta in 5
Toronto in 7

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Only reason why i feel Portland and Memphis will be close is because of Memphis perimeter guys are not really going to exploit the lack of perimeter D without Wes Matthews.
Conley and Allen are not going to exploit Lillard, Afflalo or McCollum. Then it's about will Batum show up and will Aldridge get the better of Z-Bo? if both goes in Portland's favour then i wouldn't be surprised if they won.
I think it's going 7 games and Memphis edges it but i wouldn't be surprised at all if Portland won.

Lock down defense on the Pelicans. Green is locking down AD like he's Kwame Brown Pelicans showing a lot of inexperience and nerves. Think they'll get better as the game goes on but Curry
AD's block on Bogut was boss though.

Interesting start so far.......
Great 4th quarter by AD........ but, you need to do that for all 4 quarters.
Tyreke Evans is a HUGE miss.

Yeah like I said they would. 1st quarter they made so many rookie mistakes, it was evident they were very taken aback by the occasion.
I think they'll definitely take a game at least from the Warriors. Can't see it being a sweep.

AD does need to be more aggressive sometimes, he sometimes tries to get everyone involved too much when almost always the best option is give him the ball and get the *bleep* out the way.

With Evans going down, he definitely was passive. Those 4 fouls he picked up was uncharacteristic from him.
Evans usually sets the tone and AD then follows suit and is free to play his own game. With Evans out, he was caught between two situations.
If Evans can't go for this series, he's gonna need to be a lot more aggressive.
