Even the non boxing fans will watch it just out of hype.

If only Pacquiao was in is prime. Mayweather would be done. But yea you are right that it will only go one way

And if Floyd doesnt school this guy, its time to pack it in.

Every single Manny fight he is getting drilled by Floyd's best two punches, check left hook and straight right hands. Tagged over and over again, even in fights he won easily like Algeri.

Tired of his overrated ass. He aint even 2nd best to Floyd, making his career off of fights with weight drained skeletal fighters.

Urgh I've tried writing a reply twice to this now silly internet is killing me here..

Anyways for the record I expect a Floyd win, Manny has a punchers chance but that's about it.

5 years ago I believe it would have been much closer but still a Floyd win..

Not sure if you are trolling or not but I really think the weight drain comment is filled with pure bias hate if you mean it.

Floyd has fought top fighters at catchweight or not at their ideal weights as has Manny and they have both beaten class fighters at their ideal weights too. So I don't think you can take much away from either of them.

It was mostly a joke, but it has hints of truth and your wrong.

Pacman's best wins, name them and see how many fighters were drained.

Cotto, Marg and Oscar are his 3 best wins in my opinion. He won all those fights clearly and dominated bigger opponants. All 3 of them drained totally below the weight they are supposed to be.

Marg weighed in at 150...he is a 165 guy, he came into the ring at 165..he had a history of lighter weights so something like 154, at least would have been reasonable.

Cotto Laughing The fight was at 145. The man is a damn middleweight today. At least lightmiddle.

The fight with Oscar was hilarity. He was a middleweight, he fought Hopkins ffs...he drops down to 147.

Floyd may have fought guys at less than their normal weight, but nowhere near as dramatic.

Canelo was 152..the light middle limit is 154. 2lb difference.

Cotto was 154, the light middle limit in which Cotto fought at the time.

Oscar was 154, again the same.

So, yes im joking mostly because this is boxing and Pacman has the power to do what he wants in those fights and its clearly above board. But dont compare it to Floyd, its clearly not the same.

You are sounding like Pac and Floyd are naturally the same weight. It's double standards imo, and 2 pounds is still 2 pounds and it does add significance regardless.

You just sound like a douche when you flat out say someone is wrong or whatever, it's debatable which are his best wins.

Well I agree with the Cotto and Oscar as a couple of his best wins, but let's not forget Hatton, JMM, Morales, Bradley etc are all at the respective oppositions ideal weights.

Yes I don't think Cotto was at his best, his prime was 147 imo before Cheato he was a monster and now hes settled up at a higher weight like JMM I suppose. Also Hatton was 147 for the Floyd fight.

The Oscar fight was something Oscar asked for at 147, Manny can only beat what's in-front of him.

Let's say JMM best weight at 135? Floyd ditched the catchweight of 142 and made it into a 147 fight. It's more or less the same.

P.S

if we were to put it into this context

I agree with you that Mayweather fought a better version of Cotto, just as Manny fought a better version of Hatton / JMM.

WAT.

Hatton was unbeaten before he fought Floyd, he was a shell of whatever was by the time he faced Pacquaio.

Fight is 'supposedly' starting at 2 am over here, but they're not tricking me like they always do. There's still going to be a whole fight card, I'll wake up at 5 am and I'll still have time to get rid of the morning yawns before the fight starts.

And a catchweight is catchweight. You can't attack one fighter for doing it and then excuse another, even if you are a fanboy.

WAT yourself mole.

Hatton was fighting Floyd at 147, I can't remember what was actually said by the trainer or the official weight but he weighed in at 143 or something?  Either way it was less than 147 so he could keep his speed.

Pa not sure how you can say Ricky was a shell. Not like he was demolished brutally in the Floyd fight. Can't you give credit to manny for smashing him at 140 where he was undefeated and the champ?

Just finished watching Mayweather - Ortiz 2011

Ortiz was going good and had that 4th round. Now I'm not saying he would've gone on to won lol, but he certainly looked like he could have dropped Floyd.

Floyd with the d*ck move Laughing Now I know Ortiz headbutted him but that happens sometimes, he could have just let it go, the fight was so good.

Just look at the way Hatton moved in that fight lol, he clearly wasn't the same.

Not like it matters as Hatton was never really that good anyway.

No one has ever dropped Floyd lol, he didn't have a hope in hell and he knew it that's why he got frustrated and headbutted him.

Hatton would K.O either of them easily if they fought him at his walking around weight of 300 pounds ffs

Caught the last 3 rounds of Mayweather - Oscar de la Hoya on the highlights package just a while ago. It looked a very good fight, Floyd though still looked 100% fresh while his opponent was walking on his last few millimetres of fuel at the end Laughing

I have no clue about boxing, just coming here because of hype. Surprised to find out these guys are around 150 pound midgets. I thought in the boxing world only heavyweight matters but this is marketed as the biggest fight ever. hmm
