I guess our insistence for Stones last summer was due to the club having already decided to not renew Terry's contract and planning ahead.
Seems obvious that he's the chosen one to actually replace him next season.

He's really a player in the mould of Ramires, a better version than him in that regard. I wouldn't think that's what we need in our midfield right now but perhaps Conte will revolutionize our midfield shape and he would fit in the midfield he has in mind. I can see Conte playing him in the role he used Vidal at Juventus.

I disagree completely, the complaint about Ramires always was that he lacked Technique. A Ramires with Technique would be a great addition to the squad.

Even if he only has the passing capability of a in form Matic, he'll be welcomed.

Well I suppose Mclewis might be the best to comment on this, but I think Rambo is the closest in our squad to Radja but with more tekkers.

He is a box to box energy type imo.

Well of course he has more technique than Ramires, it doesn't really say much. And from what I gathered Radja's technique is nothing impressive, I'd say Mikel's level and I don't think that's what would improve our current midfield. I would rather have RLC more integrated in the first XI.

I think RLC can still be intergrated, but I think we need to add a quality CM to our midfield.

Matic and Fabregas is not enough if one goes down injured or plays poorly.

Real Madrid are ready to offer James Rodriguez in sensational swap deal for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard

REAL MADRID could offer Chelsea a sensational swap deal to sign Eden Hazard in exchange for James Rodriguez.

Sunsport understands the Spanish giants are considering making this offer after the £70million Colombia superstar’s poor season.

Real believe James, 24, would still command a huge transfer fee despite his lacklustre performances this season.

Hazard, 25, has also suffered from miserable form this season at Chelsea and fell out with Jose Mourinho at the start of the season after being dropped.

His performances have not picked up even after Mourinho was replaced by Guus Hiddink.

It is believed he may seek a move to the Bernabeu or Paris St Germain this summer.

Real will target Hazard as Sunsport told you exclusively back in January.

The Spanish giants' boss Zinedine Zidane is a huge admirer and Hazard has admitted Zizou is his big idol.

James was a Chelsea target before he joined Madrid in a megabucks deal with Monaco 18 months ago after shining in the 2014 World Cup with Colombia.

Given both clubs have reasons to be disappointed with their respective stars Madrid officials believe it could be a deal that suits everyone.

Both Hazard and James would get the chance to start afresh at another big club.

Chelsea have let it be known they would not entertain offers for Hazard, a star they value at well over £100m.

But Real Madrid would never match that valuation as they believe a swap with James who cost £70m would represent good business for Chelsea too.

The Blues paid £34m to buy Hazard from Lille back in 2012.
