So no one wants to go play by play.Figured as much.
I guess the summary would do.Messi did jack in 6 games against Atletico last season and we fail to win a single one.
Suarez comes in and we win of 3 out of 3,with him being the major reason we won.
But by all means, lets continue the Suarez hate.

suarez hate?
most of us are saying he was average lol
your just mad some put him below messi because your a fanboy.
you say messi had a bad game because he dispossess a pass? suarez did like 3+ times
your mad messi failed to pass his marker with a dribble? did suarez even attempt one?
your mad messi doesn't have the work rate of suarez? well he has more tackles then suarez
stay mad i'm enjoying our team playing good whether you like it or not because it doesn't fit your favorite players (such as iniesta/suarez)

Yea let's just ignore the fact Atleti lost allot of players (Courtouis, Costa and Felipe are dearly missed) and aren't looking as terribly frightening as they were last year (though they are still a very good side, its not same side from last season). And lets ignore the fact that our team is playing with allot of confidence at the moment, unlike last season when everyone looked shell shocked because Tito's passing away and the other Rossell distractions, plus all the injuries we were having. So bringing those stats up from last season mean little nothing to me as far as this season....it's two different scenarios with two different teams. Ya'll forget we just lost a few games and got draws in games Tata would of likely got us a win...does that mean...what? Exactly....nothing, that was last season with a different side than we have now.
I am one of the biggest Lucho haters, but I will admit he is getting right at the moment and I hope he has the ability to keep the ship steering in it's current direction (all it took was Messi getting mad at him and him feeling the pressure of maybe getting axed because of it...but yea he finally is getting right.)
Also, Suarez hasn't yet turned into the killer he was last season but he is contributing greatly none the less and I am happy to see him start. But no, at no point this season has he been better than Messi in any game, lol! That's not a knock on Suarez, Messi is just on another level this season (back to his old self)

No one is actually hating on Suarez. Some people say he had an average match in one of the three Atleti matches. Most people agree he's a huge asset to the team, even when his passing and first touch are imprecise. You only need to look at how the team works with Pedro instead to reach that conclusion. I think most Barca fans are happy with what Suarez has done so far but do expect him to work on his finishing and first touch as the season goes on.
You also choose an odd time to hate on Messi considering he played all of those matches we won, and the first one especially was one of his best performances ever. I was at work during this last match so I can't comment on the specifics.

Torres has already scored more goal against Barca since arriving in Spain than Costa did in his entire Atletico career. lol Costa never performed against Barca, not in a single game. When Atletico kicked Barca out of the CL last season they did it while Costa was getting horse placenta treatment somewhere in the Amazon bushes.

My point still stands, at the left full back position and keeper area they are lacking and that has allot to do with why we can score against them. Plus it took allot of effort to contain Costa, Manzuvic and Torres don't demand that attention

So u honestly think courtois would stand a chance against MSN? Or stand a chance against this messi? Or against this neymar or against our tweaked style of play? Well, i have news for u, not even in his next life..

No, I never said that. I like how you took my entire statement and dumbed it down to me just saying, "they replaced Courtouis with Moya/Oblak and thats why we are winning.", I never said that.
Face is they lost allot of players, and as a whole that has made them less complete as they were last year. Just losing Felipe Luis alone and replacing him with Sequira, the defenders and midfielders have had to work so much harder on the left side of the field to compensate for an area that before would be covered nicely by F. Luis + Koke/Turan. Just that alone, forcing the rest of the team to prevent getting attacked from that flank, has opened up space on the entire back line that didn't exist for them last season. Also factor in the fact Suarez is a better passer than Alexis, I mean I could go on and on. And yes, I don't think Courtouis could of stopped the goals we scored, but he could of maybe at least stopped 1 or 2. Who knows, but he IS a better keeper than Moya or Oblak. But my point isn't on him, it's the fact this Atletico isn't as strong as lats years...and last year our club was not as strong mentally as it is this year.
My point is I don't get comparing this two teams to the two teams that were playing each other last season. They had an over all more complete team, and we had allot of injuries + Tito's passing and the Rossell scandals etc. This year they are weaker compared to last season, and we got stronger as a whole.

Like I said,I have no objection when someone says Messi had a great match. What I object to is when someone says Suarez,Pique and Alves had average matches while Messi had a great one. That is far from the truth.
Especially considering the fact that Messi cost us the first goal(which is conveniently ignored and the blame instead put on Masch who had actually played a good pass.)
My main point still stands which no one has been able to negate. We lose the match without Suarez.
To put in a better way,I ask 2 questions.
Would we still have won with 2 Suarez's playing(one as the 9 and one out wide)?
Most probably yes.
Would we still have won with 2 Messi's playing(one as the 9 and one out wide)?
Most probably no because the Messi in the center cant or wont do what Suarez in the center does(we can look at the countless games we have played against good PTB bus sides over the last few years for evidence).

Re: Copa del Rey QF 2nd leg: Posletico Thugdrid 2 - FC Barcelona 3
It is eerily similar to the Benzema situation at Mehdrid. He was criticized all these years and accused of not stepping up.What is he supposed to do playing with a ball hog like CR?He plays intelligently and plays for the best of the team and yet gets criticized for it.
Suarez comes from a team where he was main guy.He is now the third wheel in attack and yet performs arguably the most important job.He went from having 40 touches per game to less than 20.It is just not possible to GOAT with that few touches. So naturally there are going to be a few misplaced passes and touches.Messi too has misplaced touches and passes(he had few this game too).Only difference is Messi gets 3 times as many touches to make up for it.
We have Suarez doing the donkeys work for the 2 ball hogs either side, creating plenty of space for them and yet gets criticized for it.
Why is Messi all of a sudden finding himself one on one against players on the dribble? Why is Messi all of sudden so dangerous on the dribble? He had something like 30 dribbles in 3 games. Why is that?
Same with Neymar. Why is he so much more dangerous on the dribble now?
I have no issue praising the 2 ballhogs. What I find outside the realm of reason is criticizing the workhorse who is actually enabling the 2 ballhogs to shine.

Ball hog? Messi and Neymar are useful as a ball hogs. This is why they are so dangerous
Benzema and CR Vs Suarez and Messi? Its a fail comparison. Messi is doing what Benzema+CR does together= Playmaking and scoring
Why Messi is dribbling so much? Because he is fit now. Cant you see his shape and movements? He looks very agile and motivated compared to last season
Why Messi gets more touches? Because he is best dribbler and best passer in the team. Why Suarez should get same amount of touches when he is not in the same level at playmaking and dribbling? Did you ask this question to yourself?
And without Suarez Barca probably would be the first in the league. He missed sitters in most important games. Im not saying suarez is bad. But by your logic without Suarez barca would be ahead madrid now
