Re: NFL Thread Part 2
by everyone you mean backwoods folk in Wisconsin... pls stop with your homerism and be objective. Rodgers has an all-time arm only matched by Mahomes, sure, but you know how these things work... Rings matter, SB appearances matter.
if Rodgers never wins a SB again, his legacy will be known as magnificent regular season player, but playoff choker especially in the NFC championship game where his passer rating and TD:Interception ratings completely plummet. Can't put the blame entirely on Packers front office and rest of the team. I saw a stat that this team has had the best aggregate record over the past 3 years in the regular season, so you know he had a very good team around him, but of course we all know what happens to them in the playoffs.

Mahomes is just special man, there's no other way to put it. He keeps carrying the Chiefs' sorry ass defense playoffs after playoffs. The fact that Josh Allen legitimately thought he won that game twice and didn't is insane.
not this year, even if Rams tried their best to throw that game away. Cooper Kupp is the MVP of this season!
If Chiefs can get some sort of solid defense going, it should be their title to lose.

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Denver Broncos just hired the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator fueling speculation that Aaron Rodgers will move to Denver Broncos.
I suppose the only big way he can add to his legacy is if he goes and beats Mahomes and Herbert in the same division to win another SB. And it'll make for some electrifying football, so hey, I'm good with it!

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
will watch the full game replay tomorrow morning... nflreplay.net
will be happy either way... Joe Burrow could cement himself as a young serial winner and he is a big Kid Cudi fan as well, or because the NFL overemphasis on the QB sucks so much... i wouldn't mind the rightful MVP of the year, Cooper Kupp, capping off his amazing season with the ultimate prize

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Good match and it was close as it's often the case
I feel a few bad calls by refs had influence on the result but in the end it equals out. Was fun to see Bengals for once on the bigger stage they are the coolest team in the league but they were shite for a long time.

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
what were the bad calls because the only glaring one i saw was the none-call face mask foul on Jalen Ramsey on the Bengals TD to start the 3rd quarter. The holding call on Kupp at the end was indeed a hold, sure sometimes those don't get called because of inconsistency, but a hold is a hold.
Anyway, Kupp superiority what a player, absolutely deserving.

Wanted us to trade Rodgers since he's clearly a primadonna Kyrie type but alas he is here and the packers suck.
Which is fine by me, I don't care about the NFL

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Brady 2-0 since finally getting rid of Gisele. Wouldn't put it past him still making the SB this season. Lots of good teams in the NFC with Eagles, Vikings and Cowboys, but at the end you can only really trust the ones that you've seen done it before - Brady and 49ers who stacked the deck with the McAfferey pick up.
Packers would probably be in the running too had Devonte Adams just stayed because he is nothing with Derek Carr at the Raiders.
Over in the AFC, lots of good teams too... but at the end they'll probably have to go through Mahomes as per

Already the best and most talented quarter-back to ever play in most people's eyes... but with this Super Bowl win, I think "Operation: Chasing Brady" is well and alive for Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs barely have a pass defense, and they still look so dominant against most teams. If they can improve on that end, the dynasty is cemented.

Rodgers with the torn ACL, done for the season after 3 snaps and now i read Tom Brady might come out of retirement again to take this challenge at 46 years old
Jets are doomed, they are the wack team of New York anyways, just like the Mets, the Nets and the Islanders in their respective sports. In NFL the Giants are much a better franchise.

that Jets v Bills game was crazy last night, gotta feel for the Jets especially since they looked so good without Rodgers...
Tua should be the happiest QB in the league for having Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to play with... hopefully they all can stay fit throughout the season and we can see what their real ceiling is

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Mahomes halfway through goatness
I feel every year it's the same, Chiefs have terrible blockers and they struggle offensively in first half, but the opponent can't kill them with a heavy lead. Then in second half Mahomes starts running forward and get the clutch 3rd and 4th downs. When the Super Bowl is on the line there is not much one can do against the Chiefs unless you were Tom Brady. They are a dynasty in sports now, respect.

Mahomes was insanely clutch on those last two drives with the game on the line after a somewhat average game before that

Clutch play by Taylor Swift's boyfriend Jonas Valanciunas in the end as well broke 4 tackles to gain extra yards just before the final touchdown

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Have never wanted to get into NFL but I did enjoy the game yesterday, and could see the Mahomes guy has greatness in him. Considering we have the Sofi Stadium in LA I might get into this sport a bit more now. I was a bit underwhelmed in comparison with the footage I saw of the Allegiant.

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Been a casual follower of the game and a fan of the Lions since their 0-16 season, but last season I began taking more interest in them. That was a very different team from the one I was used to seeing. And then what they accomplished this season was just extraordinary. Didn't watch the Super Bowl though. Couldn't be bothered since the outcome was a foregone conclusion.
Real interested to see what the Lions do in the off season. We won't be the surprise package anymore next season.

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
you say foregone conclusion, and yes even i was very confident the Chiefs would win, but the game was much closer than i thought it would be
the Lions should've beaten the Niners anyway, they choked in the 2nd half... Chiefs v Lions was my SB prediction anyway heading into the divisional rounds. They're a spirited team, and i always was a big believer in Ravens and Niners being perennial pretenders that's why i didn't take them serious when most people made them favourites.

That's a great stat. Mahomes being put in the GOAT conversation seemed really far-fetched to me last season. This season? It seems less far-fetched.
