Re: AFC Wimbledon vs. Liverpool FC
Jones is still injured, Ifty.
Markovic and Borini into the attacking trio if Suso and Balo aren't fit to start.
Henderson and Sterling should get a rest, probably Gerrard and Lucas, too.
And I agree with what McAgger said in another thread, now that it's Gerrard's last season (sigh...) it would be superb to win a cup.
Mignolet
Toure - Skrtel - Lovren
Manquillo - Can - Rossiter - Enrique
Suso (if fit) - Balotelli (if fit)
Lambert

Would love to see Suso feature for this one. He has been training with the team again IIRC. Either way it should be a win so hopefully we come out strong and score early.

Re: AFC Wimbledon vs. Liverpool FC
Why bother about Suso !!! He wasn't used for half the season and likely to be shipped-off (sooner or later). Better give Markovic all the chances possible. Are you sure about Rossiter!!!Art Morte wrote:Jones is still injured, Ifty.Mignolet

It's a League Two team, man, of course I'm sure about Rossiter, lol. He already played in this competition against Middlesbrough who are two divisions higher than Wimbledon, bloody scored as well

Lucas and Sterling have to be rested.
Coutinho should enjoy this game. Minimum 4 goal margin win.

Lucas haven't played that much to warrant a rest. However, Henderson (along with Raheem) definitely warrants one.Nishy wrote:Lucas and Sterling have to be rested.

This. Maybe rest Coutinho too, as there's absolutely no movement in the final third when Raheem plays which disrupts Coutinho's game.
Hendo's played a lot of games for us too.
I'd go something like (well assuming we continue playing this stupid 343 that'll probably be an under performing win against a league 2 side but we should have enough quality to beat them...):
Mig
Can Skrtel Lovren
Manquillo Gerrard Rossiter Markovic
Suso Balotelli
Lambert
Key players get a rest, Skrtel plays because he's banned in the PL, Lovren plays so he can feel important and Sakho/Kolo gets well rested.
EDIT: I think that's my first line up before a game in like 2 years.

Apparently the "leaked" line up is:
Mignolet – Emre Can, Å krtel, Sakho – Manquillo, Henderson, Lucas, Marković – Gerrard, Coutinho – Lambert.
Which is stupid if you ask me.
Why play Coutinho next to two 35 year olds that can't run anymore? Where's Balotelli/Borini?
Why is Lucas/Hendo playing when it's important they play in the PL?

Balotelli has to start, Borini can *bleep* off considering we are getting Origi back.

Re: AFC Wimbledon vs. Liverpool FC
Borini is probably on the same level as Origi now, if not better. Origi was based on 1 month worth of hype in the world cup. lmao
Problem is we don't play him because we want to push him out of the club. Which is stupid considering he literally always looks like the most dedicated player when he plays.

Re: AFC Wimbledon vs. Liverpool FC
I like Borini and don't think he's been given much of a fair shake here to be honest. Feel for him. Origi wasn't just based on 1 month of world cup hype though that's just silly.
That line-up is really strange. I feel like Coutinho is going to look a bit bad because he'll have next to no movement around him which he thrives with. Maybe he'll try to do it all on his own which he can do also -- hope his finishing is on. Would also like to see Lovren in this game to maybe build his confidence back up.

We should know our 4th round opponents before kick off with Wimbledon. Let's hope for a fairly winnable draw.
And let's hope we win this one

LFC team: Mignolet, Sakho, Skrtel, Can, Markovic, Manquillo, Henderson, Lucas, Gerrard, Coutinho, Lambert
LFC subs: Ward, Enrique, Toure, Moreno, Borini, Balotelli, Williams
Enrique must have done something pretty horrible. And no Rossiter in sight

That line up
A LEAGUE TWO side and the perfect opportunity to do some serious rotation, yet apart from Lambert we go with an XI that might as well be our XI in a Premiership game. Jesus Christ Rodgers must be shitting himself.
