Overwatch - Page 17 Empty Re: Overwatch

Post by CBarca Mon May 30, 2016 6:20 am

Watching my bro play, he had a game where one team was capturing objective at 99%, someone gets into force overtime, brother goes in with Winston and uses ult, does a lot of damage, buys some time for others to come in, dies, gets revived by a clutch mercy, that in combination with others coming and helping out captures the objective. Then they go from 8% to 99%, to tie both teams at 99%, then the OTHER team forces OT, manages to take the objective and win Laughing

Incredible game

Gonna learn using Lucio. It's disgusting how shit Mercy is compared to him.

Her single target healing is so average and can barely keep people up, useless pistol 99% of the time..

Only good thing about her is the dmg increased for teammates and revival ult

She goes down way too easy and can't heal herself

I'm going to make it my lifes ambition to get good on the attack side on Hanamura lol.

Pretty convinced there's set ups as a team we can use to make it easier.

When Firenze joined me and Thimmy we won almost every game.

2 is not enough sometimes but 3 was enough to really change the game.

Imagine when 4 with mics we'll dominate

wasn't using it, I don't mind using one though, got mah PS4 poverty mic still, imagine it still works since I've only used it once or twice

I have been smashed a few times on Hanamura defense, but I think it was more to do with having a bad team tbh, if there's a decent Mercy camping on that team then RIP

Mercy's revive ULT is the only good thing about her

Lucio literally changes games and has alright damage as long as you aren't solo attacking with him

love spamming his speed boost because he's so hard to hit and the team chase you, on one capture point I just spammed the speed boost to contest the point for about 30 seconds while they had an entire team there and couldn't hit me until my team arrived

I'd take a good symmetra over Mercy too tbh, I don't like playing her but having one on Anubis' map defense is usually a good idea

Coming off the beta Symmetra was one of the ones i wanted to get good with and give a chance as i hardly bothered.

You could tell quite easily that she should be very powerful if used correctly.

Zenyetta too i can see being really effective.

Symmetra is my favorite along with Mei. 2 characters I didn't touch in the beta Laughing

I use Symmetra for defending (depending on the map) otherwise Mei for defending.

Was playing some Zenyatta yesterday and was pretty surprised by how powerful he can be. Dude can put out big damage and his orb of discord is incredibly powerful. Pop that thing on a tank and your team should (I emphasize SHOULD) melt him in seconds. Get it back and throw it on someone else. Ability to heal others without being anywhere near them shouldn't be underestimated.

He's incredibly flimsy but most of his HP is shield so you can afford to take some damage as long as you dodge in and out of combat. His ultimate is really nice too, becoming invulnerable and healing all of those around you can turn a push from a loss to a win.

He's not used often and I understand why, but I had a lot of fun with him and I think he's way better than most give him credit for*

Also have to admit I'm both a bit surprised and very pleased the game found an audience in GL. This thread was on one or two pages for the vast majority of its lifetime. Hell, I kind of forgot this game was a thing until about a month or two ago.

Well done GL

I've mostly played as Widowmaker, and I honestly think she's relatively underwhelming. Sure, she's useful in many situations, but many of the heroes in Overwatch are pretty overpowered, and I don't think she is. Her grappling ability's cooldown is a few seconds longer than what I think is ideal, and her damage output is quite mediocre for a sniper, unless you're the type of guy who only hits headshots Razz The low sensitivity ceilling in Overwatch makes it really hard for me to hit headshots with her, when I aim down her scope and enemies are moving around sporadically. Her aim speed can't keep up. She's great when you're firing from a good vantage point and enemies aren't moving around too much/focusing on taking you out. For most situations, though, I'd rather use Hanzo. Her ultimate is awesome.

That's why I retired from using her late in the beta. Shit SMG, average sniper (goat if you hit HS), rope is decent maybe bit too long cd, poison decent..

There's so many better support players i'd rather use

I actually had my best game in the beta with her, when I was playing with Mole. I just grappled up to a vantage point overlooking their spawn on that Egypt map. Got a few lucky headshots and a 22 kill killstreak on enemies who didn't care to try and take me out. Remember when you told me you thought you had the highest killstreak, Mole? Laughing But yeah, I really prefer Hanzo over her as a long range- type hero. Also, getting accurate kills with him feels a lot more satisfying, and one of his secondary attacks is a "mini" widowmaker ult. His scatter shot is pretty great in small rooms.
