bale too has been garbage, i'd say probably worse than benzema considering we can't even be sure if bale will play. as for the build up thing, i said on a previous thread that when strikers start losing touch, they or their fans or media members who like them start talking about their "build up" or "assist" abilities. even though none of them are delivering figo rui costa like assists week in week out. not even close. just recently rooney attempted to finesse his way into becoming a central midfielder for utd, but they saw through it.

i have a theory that that's part of what shifted 4 4 2 to 4 2 3 1, instead of playing a cf masquerading as an attacking midfielder, coaches decided we'll just put an amf there instead, at least he'll definitely produce more passes in tight game moments than having a forward masquerading as an amf, even though they're not even playing anywhere close to that role .

for now benzema should just concentrate on hitting the target, i mean whether he's linking up or not, just hit the target. i need at least 25 league goals from him this season, and 30 in all comps. for bale, i need a miracle, for starters we are praying he can play 7 straight games (all competitions), i don't think that's too much to ask. later on we can increase the dosage to maybe 9 straight games

zidane said the right thing. its one thing for us fans to complain, but as a coach, if you want to get the best out of your players, you don't throw them under the bus in public. and you defend them whether or not the criticism is fair.....its part of helping them stay motivated and want to fight for you on the pitch
