No surprise that when the rest of the team is playing well, Benzema is playing well. Where was he when Real Madrid needed him to step up against Atlético?

Benz sucks against Atleti because he gets bullied out of the game. Having said that on current form that's basically his only weakness right now.

He's playing at a super elite level atm.

benzema hardly gets bullied to be labelled a weakness, and last time benzema was on form atleti couldn't handle him at the calderon either, dude can have a bad game without there being a deep meaning to it

no suprise that when benzema is playing well , some of you seem to always find a " catch " and find a a way to bash the guy .

Very nice to read that Benzema can have bad games because that's what happens to players at all levels. Very true. I do hope, however, that same thought pattern can be used towards the rest of the squad when the inevitable bad match happens.

doc , the amount of times i have seen benzema played well but not score, just to be treated like garbage by all of you, and watch cr/bale play 10 times worse didn't score "nice try champ".

none of you jokers can assess a proper game, unless you like the player, that why i will always laugh off these posts and call them bs, which they are

The good old, he was bad because he didn't score 4 excuse, only applies to Benzema though. Even though a Ramos blunder/Neymar dive was the reason we lost. But yeah, Benz's fault for not scoring 10 goals.

benzema made up for these sitters almost immediately by scoring a brace .
this is in a game where ronaldo went missing  , the 100 million euro man   was just running straight past the pitch lines , and benzema was madrid's sole attacking threat by a mile .

but hey , let's blame the loss on the guy who scored a brace not the two galacticos who went missing, the dummy who conceded the  penalty, or the team that couldn't keep a lead for 5 minutes . nah it's benzema's fault for not stepping up

I know you can be a blunt instrument when you're ready but surely you can actually remember correctly people's post a bit better. Anyway, I've always called out RM players that have been sub par (Ronaldo, Di Maria, Marcelo, Benzema etc.) and have been more than congratulatory to guys who have been treated harsher than others (Di Maria, Ronaldo, Marcelo, Benzema, etc.).

And the likes of Firmino, Ricardo Rodriguez and Loic Perrin are top ten players. In the world.

That list by Harmonica was ridiculous because it only took into account stats and as they are perceived by one source (whoscored). So unless you know and understand the assumptions they use, it's not even worth it.

Benz is the best CF in the world right now since Ibra is injured... that's my feeling and you're more than welcome to disagree.

He's been a top 5 to top 10 cf all but his first 18 months at Madrid. He's taken the step up now.

doc im sure almost every madrid fans, who is not a fans of benzema, which 98% of this forum rm posters now or back then, as turned on him over the most simple misses and mistakes, that happens all the time in footy fact, those threads only proved my point.

as i said then and now, nothing is wrong with calling benzema out if he was crap fair enough, the problem i had is the needs to pile on him,we all know its exaggerated to make higuain look better and give other players doing the exact same thing a pass, its bs no matter how many threads you post

that why im glad to see falcao struggled, when he is not the main guy, so you lot can learn footy and drop the fifa expectations , it doesn't matter how much of a killer instinct you have or dominant personality, if your not the main forward, you won't look as good as the primary...

benz keeps proving me right, if you want him to be consistent, then consistently keep him involved, instead passing the ball around him for 20 mins and then blame him for not stepping up(atleti), open your eyes and watch the games properly, half these arguments wouldn't even start in the first place.

Only reason he's looking so great now is that Bale is injured and his touches have risen from 25 to 40+ a game and he's getting more opportunities in general.  Once Bale comes back, that will go down automatically... won't be his fault.  But he'll get blamed for having a "bad mentality"
