Keller couldn't dream of these stats.

Actually Keller had such stats in the last Rückrunde.

You really don't understand the workings of Schalke. There only need to be two or three matches where things don't work out and the knives will be sharpened again. :coffee:

Yeah, because firing him is the only way to get rid of Horst Heldt as he was the guy who hired him and thus would be responsible if things don't work out. Heldt's tenure at Schalke now hinges on RDM's success, but if RDM stays, it will be even harder to oust Heldt. (Heldt firing Keller was the only way to get his own head out of the noose as people demanded a more glamorous coach - the main problem people had with Keller was not exactly he wasn't successful (after all, he was as he managed to get Schalke into the CL twice back to back and he led them to the best 'Rückrunde' in the club's history), but that he was not glamorous enough.)

In poor form: "Sack him! The team is playing shit!"
In good form: "Sack him! The team could soon be playing shit!"

Damned if he does....

Funny thing is, if they'd dug up some German nobody from the third division and named him manager, your splooge would be spread all over this thread about how brilliant the start has been.

5 wins in 7 and level 3rd and you want him out. Do us a favour.

Rwo shorter: We need the club not to succeed so the club will be able to succeed.

You really don't understand? It is Horst Heldt who really needs to be sacked, but the fastest way to get that done is that RDM goes out as hiring RDM was Heldt's last ditch effort to stay in power or he himself would have been sacked already. ^^

Shed serving the most bitter red pill as it is. Knives were out for Di Matteo before he even stepped in Gelsenkirchen while that illiterate rookie Keller was just a coach out of his depth.

If it was Hasenhüttl or Lieberknecht that the Germans would be compelled the support I bet my kidneys I wouldn't see the same prejudice.

Either way 5 in 7. Enough said.

Looks like somebody forgot that papa tom already took 1

Also, RDM is doing just fine with what is a crap team that always seems to be missing half of their players.

Poor RWO. 2 Birds with one stone would've been nice had RDM turn out not to be a good choice. The lack of praise for this man is a little undeserved now, tho. Already has a CL to his belt. A CL dammit! We're talking about a Guardiolesque manager material here. Heck, Schalke to end Bayerns reign under Di Mateo like Dortmund did for 2 years. Calling it now. :coffee:

I don't rate Guardiala but I rate RDM. :coffee: shh

One of the 10 best managers on the planet imo. Give him 2/3 years and he'll knock Dortmund/Bayern off their perch.

Well, Schalke wanted to have more consistency. It seems they achieved their objective - Schalke are still consistently inconsistent. :coffee:

Perfect coach for Schalke imo. Win a game, lose a game. Play shit, then decent, then shit again. Nothing fancy.
