yeah right the 3-5-2 is the problem, I wonder why its not the problem when Marchisio is pirlo's place ...hmmm we had 0 conceded goals with Marchisio and jsut 1 lucky against Atl. Madrid then Pirlo comes back and whola we let in 5 golas in 3 games... great

luckily the way he is heading we won't be seeing him next season, time for some real attacking football not crap hoof and expect 2 strikers without any wide creative width to do something with non-creative WB's

I think the formation may be a problem yes however I think its coz we got shit defenders! Teams have found the need to play 3 at the back as there are fewer defenders these days who are good at defending one on one so they decide to play another CB to bolster things up. Juve needs to return to its roots and get that solid defence down.

We are over rated, we beat teams in a shit league and run things at home coz the simple fact is the competition ain't that good, We get dominated and beaten by average teams in the CL. Before we can even think about winning anything other than serie a! Even if we somehow turn this game around and get past the group stage it won't change what is the truth.

I just don't get it. Allegri does not play Pirlo at Milan when he was about his peak, now, when he is totally out of form, slow and didn't even fully recover from injury, he is an all-time starter. Seriously.

in europe we cannot get away with playing with no creativity brah, even f Marchisio is on it won't change nothing, we are the most predictable team in Europe, only reason why Holland's 3-5-2 worked was because of Robben's pace and they had WB's who could create, we don't but we have creative strikers/SS's and wingers yet they are benched for more defenders and we expect defenders to create

Only thing positive from this game is that Morata can be a terrific player with the right service!

negative thing is Allegri will still continue to field 3-5-2 after all that has happened.......

if we don't make the next round please Beppe and co #Allegri_out by December and get someone who knows what it takes to win in Europe and that is someone who is willing to use the attacking players we have and not defend till 80th min to realize that playing 4-3-3 actually works

Are you seriously thinking Allegri is the problem for the 3-5-2? I am 1000% sure its the board not allowing him to change it. He played 4-3-1-2 in Milan changed 4-3-3 hell he even tried 3-5-2.

Pirlo is the biggest problem. If he gets benched than its Allegri hating him and the media will jump on him and the fans something our board doesn't want right now

i don't think its the board, he has always made excuse upon excuse why he doesn't play it, first from Barzagli to when Ogbonna, Chiellini, Caceres all play fine in a 4 man back....

methinks he was banking on 3-5-2 to save his first year career, but thank God there is Europe where you cannot get away with 3-5-2 nonsense..... unluckily for him he either from now on switches formations or it will cost him his job by December after we've been lampooned by the rest of the group........

if we had started with a 4-3-2-1 their goalie wouldn't be in superman mode for 90mins and at least 2 of those shots would have gone in.....

we waited till the 80th min...

Why's everyone so negative, we aren't out just yet, and hopefully we won't be out either. We MUST win our next game and hope that Atletico beat Olympiacos. This is a wake up call, switch formation, start Marchisio and Morata. Hopefully we still advance, we played really well at the end but their goalkeeper saved them on multiple occasions, which always seems to happen when we face any team. I just hate that I have to wait two weeks for the next game. Btw, is UCL head to head or GD? We must not concede next game. Next two games in Serie A we need to play 4-3-3. I really don't think we're a bad team in a shit league, I think the league is good and we're a good team, it's just that, like elm said, the 3-5-2 isn't for Europe, maybe in Serie A sure, but it's not for Europe. at time Lichsteiner is overrated because he's so predictable. Again, let's all hope we advance from the group stages.

Carlos Tevez said Juventus “have to change” mentality in the Champions League after a defeat to Olympiacos.

The Bianconeri are so dominant domestically, yet have won the Champions League only once.

“The history of Juventus have always been a bit like this, they do well in Serie A and struggle in Europe. If we want to become a great team then we have to turn that around and I believe we can change it.

“I think it is an issue of mentality and it depends only on us to change.”

Allegri: 'Juve good chance of qualifying'


Max Allegri defended Andrea Pirlo and assured Juventus “have a very good chance of qualifying” despite defeat to Olympiacos.

“I imagined this game differently above all in terms of the first half,” the Coach told Sport Mediaset after a 1-0 Champions League loss in Athens.

“We were bad technically, didn’t move enough and allowed three or four counter-attacks, which were what Olympiacos wanted.

“In the second half we wasted too many scoring opportunities. We leave here with a bitter result and regrets over the first half, but I maintain we still have a very good chance of qualifying.”

It’s a complicated situation, as Atletico Madrid and Olympiacos now have six points, while Juve and Malmo have three apiece.

“I think we made a lot of unforced errors in the first half and couldn’t control the game. Olympiacos pressed us a lot and in fact lost a lot of intensity as time wore on.

“We were too deep and stretched out between the sections in the first half, so we can only take the blame for having played like that.”

Pirlo was particularly disappointing, giving away possession several times, including on the incident that led to the goal.

“I am not worried, as Andrea was out for a long time and just needs match fitness. I played him tonight because I needed someone in front of the defence who could slow the game down and keep the ball while Olympiacos pressed us.

“I’m certain that with time and more fitness work Andrea will return to being the player we all knew.

“Morata proved he had great quality tonight, both in the first and second half.”

Allegri moved to the 4-2-3-1 system in the final 15 minutes, but should Juventus adopt that shape from the start in Europe?

“The idea tonight was to get the ball high up the field, but you need to stay tight and we left some gaps in midfield, staying too stretched out.”
