I'm not scared, juve doesn't have problems against bigger opposition. The thing is I want to win, I don't know if we can achieve that, not afraid of losing

You're correct we have bigger problems against lesser opposition..two teams that we couldnt beat that RM have put 10 goals past and we could barely put one and keep a clean sheet. Last years team, yeah i had confidence but their performance this season is awful. Tomorrow will be a severe ass-whupping and put an end to our CL campaign.Fuzail wrote:I'm not scared, juve doesn't have problems against bigger opposition. Conte: 'Juve don't fear Real'
Antonio Conte assures Juventus have “no fear” when taking on Real Madrid at the Bernabeu tomorrow night.
The two giants clash in Madrid on Wednesday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) for the Champions League.
“This game gives us huge motivation. Something imponderable happened in Florence, but in football this can happen. The numbers say we create a great deal,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
He was referring to Sunday’s shock 4-2 defeat at Fiorentina, after his side had been 2-0 up until past the hour mark.
The Bianconeri’s form in Europe has not been better with two draws against Copenhagen and Galatasaray, both after going behind.
“We will play our game at the Bernabeu against one of the most successful clubs in the world. Tomorrow we’ll have to know how to suffer under pressure, but we must also be able to hurt them.
“We respect Real Madrid, but have no fear. We are stepping on to the field well aware of our capabilities. This is going to be very tough, but it is an opportunity for us to give our all and prove ourselves too.
“Tomorrow’s result will mean nothing in terms of qualification, whether we win or lose, as there are still another three games to go. We have to prove we’re up to the standard of this great football stage, not with words, but on the pitch.
“I tip my hat to Carlo Ancelotti for his extraordinary career. It was great to have him as my Coach at Juventus.”
Carlos Tevez will start, while Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella and Stephan Lichtsteiner are sidelined.
“Tevez has had a very positive impact at Juve. He sets the example in terms of quality and hard work he puts into everything.
“Fernando Llorente is in good shape, he is at my disposal with the rest of the squad and I will make my decisions tomorrow.”
Gigi Buffon has been criticised recently for his form, though some have said old age has made him ‘merely human’ after years of heroics.
“Buffon is a champion as a football player and as a man. He is a guarantee for me and always will be,” added Conte.

Chiellini: 'Real face best Juventus'
Giorgio Chiellini is confident Real Madrid at the Bernabeu will “get the best out of Juventus” and be a turning point.
The Bianconeri have stuttered this season, earning two Champions League draws with Copenhagen and Galatasaray before dropping a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2 at Fiorentina on Sunday.
“We made some defensive errors, but we are working hard and I am certain we’ll get right back on track, just like we did in the past,” said the defender in his Press conference.
He will have to be on his toes on Wednesday night against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
“Just talking about Bale and Ronaldo is reductive, because all of Real Madrid’s individuals are very talented.
“We respect Real, but want to prove we can do well in this stadium where everyone suffers. A game like this can get the best out of Juventus and provide a positive turning point.
“We need to really want it, though.”

I don't think this will be our starting lineup, although it looks pretty nice against smaller teams, but I fear RM could expose that easily. I'd definitely stick with 3-5-2, we have to win the midfield battle at any cost, which is kinda impossible with the lineup Devi posted.
What's up with Lichsteiner btw?

Even though Licht is likely out, I agree with Dronte. I don't see us changing that much for this match. Plus, I don't see us starting Caceres after he has been out for so long. He is going to be far from match fitness. I wouldn't be shocked if Pogba is on the right in the 3-5-2 or else we may be stuck with Padoin.dronte wrote:I don't think this will be our starting lineup, although it looks pretty nice against smaller teams, but I fear RM could expose that easily.
