Syfy looks like they're getting back to trying to be a scifi tv station. Hopefully they'll come up with a few good shows. They have a bunch new ones coming up. I always thought it was weird how after coming up with the best scifi series of all time they just decided to cut back on scifi and do wrestling and bs reality shows like ghost hunters.
Yeah very disappointed with the direction SyFy went in. The only show I watch there nowadays outside of Smackdown is Defiance, and even that isn't as good as it could or should be.
Watched the first season of Dominion and honestly it's ridiculous and I won't be surprised if it gets cancelled.
Ascension is getting mad hype though, but I'm not sure about that either. It's a miniseries though so it's safe from cancellation at least.
I'm with you on Defiance and Dominion. It looks like Ascension is getting shitty reviews. Too bad. At least Syfy is trying now, I guess. Though they got a few more new series on the way.
Probably one of the most promising ones I've been hearing about is the Superman prequel "Krypton", which will explore the House of El and what led to its fall and ultimately the destruction of Krypton. Would love to see a series like this really get ambitious and do well. Syfy need that.

I'm unsure about this. Sounds like the Superman version of Gotham.

Been watching Atlantis and American Horror Story: Freakshow. Love them both.
Mark Addy never fails to make me laugh.
AHS/FS is more tragic than horrific, honestly. Somehow, I still like it.
Really waiting for the Musketeers on BBC America & the return of The Americans. Never finished watching the earlier seasons for The Americans.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
Watched 4/7 episodes now. The one with Toby Kebbell leaps and bounds the best imo.
RDJ is going to make the concept of that episode into a feature film, great idea. I was baffled how this was not a feature film from the start, one of the most original ideas, certainly for a tv-show.

Episode 4 was my favourite movie of last year (Her)

Yea every episode has a unique idea in it. That's why it's so refreshing and good to watch.
That Toby episode. 9/10th of the episode I was like, man he is such a twat. But in the end he was right
Think you will love the 5th episode.

Yeah. The Entire History Of You was probably my favorite episode. Either that or the pilot. Will download White Christmas tomorrow.

I thought he was right all along. Prob because I'm also a paranoid prick That whole laughing at dem jokes had me suspicious. Also imagine he'd get drunk some time, because I've imagined having the ability to remember a night out, when I've had too many quite a few times

Episode 4 - Be Right Back - is my favourite man.
The emotion was executed perfectly imo.
Right after watching it, I went on twitter to say that it might just be one of the best episodes in tv history

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
Love House so far, RG. Hugh Laurie could def have pulled of Dr. Strange if he hadn't already been a doctor in this show I'd reckon. His personality is basically a mix between Dr. Strange pre injury and after.
Needed a great procedural that you don't have to remember each episode to get a hang, and just drop in once in a while.

Yea it's a great show. Hugh Laurie is an amazing actor. Don't think many could have pulled that role off. his face screams of sarcasm lol.
Nearly done with season 1. It actually explains every illnesses/treatments etc so you learn A LOT as well.
Also Dr Cameron Can't believe that's Zoey from HIMYM lol
