Players that you never understood the hype

I can understand the Ramsey thing if you watched him this season so far.

When last season pre-injury was the only thing he offered goalscoring? It was simply the most outstanding facet of his game.

And not because I'm a Juve fan, it's just that for the last 2 seasons anybody who watches Juve somewhat regularly agrees that Barzagli is our best CB so he's hardly over hyped really.

Iturbe: "The new messi", even in this market I think 25m is way too much for him.

Balotelli: I do "get the hype", I just never thought he would live up this potential. Also when Serie Asleep fans were saying he should start over Eto'o that really set me against him. Better than Eto'o in 2009 is the definition of overhyped

Hames: Likewise I see what people like about him, and I've hyped him plenty of times before, but not for that price and not for Madrid. I think he will fail terribly.

Ozil: In every WC match he started there were 10 better playing Germans alongside him.

Gourcuff: Seriously amazes me when people still say they want him.

Khedira: Still trying to get what it is that he offers

By the by, Ramsey bagged 10 assists last season on top of his 16 goals, so where this "his overall play is average" baloney is coming from is beyond me. Or is there something more a midfielder needs to do besides score and assist goals?

The Ramsey comments coming from this season tbh, was definitely not the case all of last season.

Season is only three weeks old

This is GL brah, a 20 minute Season is enough to define a players career on here, 3 weeks is a long time ffs.

GL finally seeing the light about what I said last year about Ramsey.

Although I wouldn't really call it seeing the light since I've changed my opinion and I don't get the criticism at all this season I think he's been palying pretty well.

My list:Alexis-Ozil-Mata-Mathieu-Marcelo(Coentrao on the other hand is very underrated and miles better)-Chellini-Balo-Azpilicueta-Others

Busquets - Seems to be one of the barca players that is immune to criticism. Dat Guardiola hype

Cristina Ronaldo never understood why this queen is compared to messi . A road runner who needs acres of space to operate in . Pretty poor vision and passing . Zombie dribbling in tight spaces . A pure goal whore . Nothing else

people nowadays rated higher player who quick but stupid rather than player who slow but genius

Azpilicueta overrated lol? He's by far the best 1v1 defender in football. He's a throwback defender that should be appreciated by every football fan due to their increasing rarity. Tired of the praise failed wingers get over actual defenders.

im reading a lot of blind hate and bullshit so far....chiellini, azpilicueta, Ramsey, januzaj, neuer, sturridge, goetze...because you don't like some one personally, doesn't mean they are overhyped.

Personally I never rated highly Chiellini, I though to him immediately because I live in Italy and I know how much is rated  from some but basically never agreed on his hype.
It was one of my first discussion on Goallegacy with juventus101 , who tended to insert him among greatest defender ever (and juventus101  the same man who belittles Gerrard)

Great physical strenght but for me non really so good to mark (on the other hand he gives his best in defence to 3 but not so reliable as BC) and he tends to make erros in big games.

Of course it has nothing to do with Juve , I like to be unbiased about players and infact I admit Barzagli is a great defender for me.

Anyway I don't understand the problem, this is the beautiful thing of the football , if all thought equal about it, it would be so boring

And expecially overhyped doesn't mean scrub.
It is a  different thing.

Morata(went for the same as Balotelli?!), Lahm is good but stupidly overhyped, Ramos, Lamela, Rooney, Kompany and Gerrard in the past 2-3 seasons.

Also Ramires. Some people don't think he's the worst CM in the league.
