Good man manager Conte is, even if tactically he's not as astute, he should be able to galvanize the players and get more from them.

Very interested to see how he handles Balo.

He'll have a lot more options than he had at Juve, i'm not sure if he's going to utilize 3 at the back or 4 at the back. Either way, i expect him to do good. There's a plethora of young Italians waiting to be groomed.

Antonio Conte reached an agreement with the Italian Federation to become Italy’s next coach. The former Juventus coach starts this new adventure motivated and determined, he wants to win with Azzurri. The first ideas are clear: Conte, along with his staff, will coordinate all the youth teams. A daily work, detailed and meticulous, like he loves to do. He’ll plan the practices like in a club. The main tactic will be 3-5-2, or better 3-3-4. As reported by Sky Sport’s Giovanni Guardalà, Conte is already studying some important tactical variations, De Rossi will be a key element. In the defense, Ranocchia will be the ideal replacement of Barzagli. Candreva will be very important, he could play similarly to Lichtsteiner. On the left, Darmian, but he isn’t the only option: he likes Pasqual a lot. In the attack, he’ll trust Immobile, Rossi and Pazzini. Conte studies the first ideas and methods as Italy’s coach, not a simple selector.

Conte's poor performance in knockout tournaments is concerning, however it's an immeasurably better choice than Mancini.

I am disappointed to hear that Conte plans to use the 3-5-2, however I am sceptical that his plans are to use Darmian on the left when it is plain as day that he is one footed and very uncomfortable on this flank. It essentially robs him of his greatest quality, overlapping movement.

It would be great if Conte can remain constantly involved in the youth sector and truly start to create some consistency, however in the first team I hope that he is willing to take the difficult stand of letting the likes of Barzagli, Pirlo and Buffon go in preparation for 2018.
